
Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto fight for the title after they both won over Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik and Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi in semifinals which took place at the Jyske Bank Arena, Odense, Denmark, on Saturday, 22 October 2022.
Indonesia brought home one champion and runner-up title from Denmark Open 2022. The men’s doubles title was won by Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto who defeated Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo. Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto won the match over Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo with a score of 21-19 and 28-26.
Fajar Alfian was very grateful for winning the Denmark Open 2022 after defeating strong opponents like Marcus/Kevin.
“It is not easy to defeat Marcus/Kevin because we train together. Our previous meeting was also tough,” Fajar Alfian said at the PBSI release.
“In this match, we’re more focused on critical points, although there were many mistakes, including Rian’s serve fault, but it didn’t bring us down,” said Fajar. “That makes us focus to find the next point. We hope that this victory will increase our confidence in the next tournament,” said Fajar Alfian.
Fajar/Rian will continue their European Tour by participating in the French Open 2022 on October 25-10 2022.
