This beautiful Capricorn was born in Jember on January 13, 2007. Coming from a family of musicians, it’s no surprise that Aurelia Syaharani has a musical gift and a melodious voice.
Aurelia Syaharani released her debut single with Universal Music Indonesia titled “Mungkin Hanya Kamu”. The song tells the story of a teenage breakup, one person has moved on with someone new, while the other remains stuck in memories, holding onto the belief that they were the only one who truly understood them. It’s a story of heartbreak, longing, and the pain of letting go.
Aurel also took part in the songwriting process alongside Clara Riva and Tintin (Martinus Layardo). “I was so happy to write this song with Kak Clara and Kak Tintin. Many people can relate to it, especially people my age, including my friends,” said Aurel. She also collaborated with producers ABRAM & Tintin to perfect the song. Although the lyrics are sad, the music carries a medium-upbeat feel.
“I really love how it turned out, the arrangement is great and fits my vocal character perfectly,” Aurel expressed about the production process. Not only is “Mungkin Hanya Kamu” available in audio format, but it also comes with a music video directed by Benny Lim. The video showcases Aurelia Syaharani’s acting skills, portraying emotional scenes that reflect the song’s lyrics.
“The shoot was super fun and went smoothly. I really tried to embody the role in the video so that it would be relatable, especially for those going through heartbreak and struggling to move on,” Aurel added.
Before joining Universal Music Indonesia, Aurelia had already showcased her vocal talent through two independently released singles and various cover videos uploaded to her social media. One of her most notable covers is “Bukan Untukku” by Tiara Andini, her older sister. She delivered the song with impressive vocal technique, adding a fresh vibe and her own unique vocal style, which earned her praise from netizens who highlighted her voice quality.
“When I was offered to join Universal Music Indonesia, I was overjoyed. It was a big dream of mine finally coming true, and my family was very supportive of me pursuing a career in music, especially since I’ve loved singing from a young age. Being entrusted to be part of the creative process for my debut single ‘Mungkin Hanya Kamu’ was an incredible feeling. Honestly, I’m both excited and nervous about this release,” Aurelia Syaharani said.
