Bingkai Karya – Known as an actress, dancer, singer, and digital personality with millions of followers on social media, Gabriella Ekaputri now takes a bold step forward by releasing her most personal and ambitious work yet, her debut EP ‘Midnight’s Promises’, released under Universal Music Indonesia. More than just a mini album, ‘Midnight’s Promises’ marks Gabriella’s artistic transformation. It is a new chapter that reveals her deepest side while proving she is ready to shine as a world-class solo singer. The EP features four songs that explore themes of emotional wounds, love’s traumas, and broken promises all wrapped in rich, cinematic pop arrangements that are both haunting and heartfelt.
What makes ‘Midnight’s Promises’ truly special is the involvement of an international creative team, including Swedish producer Harry Sommerdahl who has worked with Westlife, The Pussycat Dolls, BoA, and Il Divo. He collaborated with Jonas Peker, Matilda Lindén, Stella Ringdahl, Hugo Andersson, Linnea Gawell, and S/EEK, shaping Gabriella’s new sound: mature, emotional, and full of depth.
“Gabi has that rare kind of voice that cuts through the noise—honest, fragile, yet powerful. Working with her felt like capturing lightning in a bottle,” — Harry Sommerdahl
“What amazed me most was how Gabriella came into every session with a clear emotional vision. She’s not just a singer—she’s a storyteller,” — Stella Ringdahl
“We built the songs from her own handwritten notes and voice memos. It felt raw, real, and fearless,” — Jonas Peker
Gabriella shares that every song on this EP is part of her own healing process. “It’s a story about being hurt psychologically, about broken promises, and how I managed to survive through it all. But it’s not just about sadness, it’s about finding strength behind the scars,” Gabriella revealed.
The music video for “Little by Little” was released alongside the EP, directed by Gustaf Weldy and starring renowned actor Baskara Mahendra. The video depicts a relationship filled with conflict, overthinking, and betrayal, showcasing Gabriella’s emotional acting and musical capacity in a haunting visual narrative.
With international-class production, touching narratives, and powerful visual storytelling, ‘Midnight’s Promises’ positions Gabriella Ekaputri as one of Indonesia’s most promising young artists in modern music. “I hope anyone who has ever felt broken, disappointed, or exhausted in a relationship can find comfort and understanding through these songs. We can heal… little by little,” Gabriella concluded.
