Grand Mercure Malang Mirama collaborated with East Java BAZNAS (Badan Amil Zakat Nasional) and J99 Foundation Malang conducted CSR with 1000 orphans and dhuafa. This event was held in the Grand Ballroom Hotel Grand Mercure Malang Mirama on April 19th, 2022. The event included the distribution of aid and Quran, and breaking fast together. The Governor of East Jawa, Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa also attended this event.
“This event is an opportunity for us to pay attention to our brothers and sisters, especially the orphans and dhuafas so that they can also feel the joy and keep the spirit in fasting and welcoming Eid al Fitr this year,” said Sugito Adhi, the General Manager of Grand Mercure Malang Mirama.
The Governor of East Java in her speech said, “we give zakat not only in Ramadan, that spread across the cities and districts of East Java, both zakat, infaq, or aids that we give. This is part of routine events of East Java BAZNAS, and we focus on orphans for this year’s event. Alhamdulillah, I can attend this event today. There are more than 1000 orphans that receive aid, hopefully it is blessed and useful for orphans in Malang.”
“The charity done by Grand Mercure Malang Mirama and J99 Foundation for 1000 orphans is a good event. Thank you to Grand Mercure Malang Mirama for making a room for this event to go well, and thank you to J99 Foundation that donates 1000 Quran. BAZNAS gives aid worth IDR 100,000/child, bags, and school supplies worth IDR 300,000/child. This event has also been conducted in several cities like Lumajang, Madura, and other cities in East Java,” explained Drs. KH. Muhammad Roziqi, MM., the chairman of BAZNAS.
