Grand Mercure Malang Mirama Held Spectacular Superhero-themed General Staff Meeting

Grand Mercure Malang Mirama held a fantastic 2nd General Staff Meeting this year. General Staff Meeting is the most awaited event by every hotel industry, where the Management and all staff can gather and have fun.

This year, Grand Mercure Malang Mirama brought a different-styled event. If the General Staff Meeting is usually held to update the information about the achievement and present some presentations by each Head of Division, the recent event carried a theme “Mirama The Revolution of Guardians” which was a superhero theme. This event is held every 3 months with each department being given the opportunity to be the committees.

A performance by F&B team opened the event. They performed a musical drama, wrapped up in modern superhero costumes. Other superheroes from the Front Office & Housekeeping department showed their talent by dancing to viral TikTok dances.

Next, the squad of Engineering, Sport Recreation and Security played a 90s musical drama where they visualize Wiro Sableng to Sailor Moon. With much enthusiasm as the previous teams, the Sales Marketing to Accounting team performed a snippet of the hotel’s pre-Opening, Remo dance, and modern flashmob.

“Not only the staff performing, but all Head of Divisions also bring surprises in the General Staff Meeting, so the Managers or each Department Leader also participate in this event,” said Sugito Adhi, the General Manager of Grand Mercure Malang Mirama. He also hoped that by holding this event, all teams could be more creative and solid.

The most iconic thing was that the General Manager of Grand Mercure Malang Mirama and other managers grouped and sang “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely” by Backstreet Boys and “Uptown Girl” by Westlife. The event was not only showing the amazing performances, but also the announcement of several final candidates of CDP (Career Development Program) held by the hotel to develop the staff’s potential.
