Bingkai Karya-illuminati hotties, the musical project led by the GRAMMY-winning producer Sarah Tudzin, is set to drop her latest album, “POWER,” on Hopeless Records on August 23rd. Ahead of the release, Tudzin has unveiled a new track, “The L.” Which blends heavily distorted guitars with a pop edge. This release follows her acclaimed singles “Didn’t” featuring Cavetown and “Can’t Be Still,” showcasing her continued creative excellence.
Sarah Tudzin explains the meaning behind “The L,” saying, “’The L’ is about knowing when to back down – it’s a lesson I’ve had the great fortune to have many chances to learn over and over again. It’s about putting your pride aside in favor of resolution. We could go separate ways, but I’ll take the ‘L’ instead.”
“The vocals in the bridge are from the original demo. It captures how tiny and vulnerable I feel when I’m surrendering to love and compromise. It’s very hard when you’re independent and sure-headed and stubborn to figure out how to navigate partnership, but I’ve thrown my hands up in this song… love always comes out on top.”
The Album
These 13 songs capture the full spectrum of emotions—sadness, joy, and the hectic pace of modern life. Tudzin often amplifies characters and situations. Not just for dramatic effect, but to create a bit of distance between her own experiences and the listeners’ interpretation of her lyrics.
Since the release of her highly praised album “Let Me Do One More” in 2020, Sarah Tudzin has been on a roll. As a sought-after producer, she’s contributed to albums by boygenius, Weyes Blood, Speedy Ortiz, Cloud Nothings, and others. Her work has earned her GRAMMYs and established her as one of the most dynamic new talents in the industry.
