Bingkai Karya – After celebrating a decade of her music career with a major concert in 2024, musician and composer Isyana Sarasvati now announces a new era in her musical journey with her fifth album titled “EKLEKTIKO.” This artistic era reflects boundless freedom of expression, with “EKLEKTIKO” celebrating her 32 years of life and serving as a space for Isyana to fully bring to life all of her musical imaginations and personas.
“After all the explorations in life and my work, I’m more certain than ever that the music I create is truly free and authentic. It’s not bound by theory, style, or genre,” says Isyana. “This is a space where I can freely be anything and bring my imagination to life without limits,” she shares.
In the universe of “EKLEKTIKO,” listeners will be introduced to four main sections representing different sides of Isyana’s identity: Lunora, Mamiu, Cecilia, and Abadhi. The journey begins with “Lunora,” the first chapter that celebrates diversity through collaboration. In this section, Isyana collaborates with three Indonesian male musicians from different genres and generations: Hindia, VIDI, and Afgan.
As a collaborative work, “Hari Ini” marks an important milestone in Isyana’s vision for the “EKLEKTIKO” era: that differences actually enrich the experience. “This journey begins with ‘Lunora,’ where I invited three Indonesian male musicians to explore together. Differences are not obstacles; that’s where the magic lies,” she adds.
To kick off this new chapter, Isyana will release her first collaborative single titled “Hari Ini” with Hindia, coinciding with her 32nd birthday. Released under REDROSE Records, the song is co-written by Isyana and Baskara Putra (Hindia), with Petra Sihombing as producer and co-writer, and Gamaliél as vocal director and backing vocals.
“Hari Ini” reflects Isyana’s inner struggles, marking a victory after overcoming a period of numbness that once clouded her life. The song captures the journey to feel again, embrace the full spectrum of emotions, and move forward with hope. The melancholic yet healing lyrics blend with strong emotional compositions, making it an artistic statement that marks the opening of the “EKLEKTIKO” era.
Not only in audio form, the release of “Hari Ini” is also accompanied by a music video launched on the same day. Even more special, the music video directed by Aco Tenriyagelli features around 150 people from Isyanation (Isyana’s fanbase) and Team Hindia (Hindia’s fanbase) who were directly involved as extras in the video. The music video also features several well-known actors, including Niniek L. Karim, Baskara Mahendra, Bhisma Mulia, Alika Jantinia, Marsha Risdasari, Jesslyn Alena Zain, and Alwi Djamalulail.
With “EKLEKTIKO,” Isyana Sarasvati asserts that she is not just a singer, but a multidimensional artist who continues to evolve. She has also prepared various visual presentations as an integral part of the “EKLEKTIKO” launch, designed to deepen the emotional resonance of the audience with her work.
After “Hari Ini,” two more collaborations with VIDI and Afgan will follow in May 2025, revealing more layers of her new musical universe. Thus, the “EKLEKTIKO” era begins, a long journey that will last from May 2025 to May 2026—and it all starts today.
