Bingkai Karya – Mikha Tambayong is back in the music scene with her latest single, It’s My Time. This English-language song was written by Mikha together with well-known Indonesian composer and musician, Ifa Fachir. Interestingly, this is the first time Mikha has written a song fully in English. Aside from her acting career, Mikha is also known as a talented singer and songwriter, having written songs like “Tak Tergantikan” and “Menepi Menetap” with her husband, Deva Mahenra, and Ifa Fachir.
“It’s My Time” is more than just a song — it reflects Mikha’s personal journey. It is an empowering anthem that encourages listeners to rise above their doubts and embrace their shining moments. With its pop-soul feel, emotional lyrics, and uplifting melody, the track was produced by rising music producer S/EEK. A special part of the song includes a choir, performed by Mikha’s close friends and family.
The song opens with the lyrics, “I’ve been broken down through my days, I’ve been feeling like I’m just not enough,” describing someone’s struggle — especially women — with self-worth and the urge to escape reality. But like a rainbow after a storm, the song brings hope through lyrics like “I’m gonna find my shine” and “I’m ready to fly,” reminding us that no matter how hard things get, there is always a way forward.
The music video for It’s My Time, directed by Bagoes Tresna, shows the theme of empowering women clearly. All the talents in the video are women — Mikha’s friends and family — and the visuals use pastel colors and fashionable styling, making the video both beautiful and enjoyable.
It’s My Time is a love letter from Mikha to anyone who has ever felt lost or unsure of themselves. “This song is a reminder that your time will come, and when it does, you must fly as high as you can,” Mikha said. “My favorite lyric is ‘Now that it’s all clear somehow rainbow’s out on my sky,’ because it shows that there’s always hope after dark times. I hope this song brings energy and becomes a tribute especially to all the beautiful ladies who have gone through what’s described in the song.”
It’s My Time is available on all digital music platforms starting May 2, 2025, and the music video can be watched on MyMusic Records’ official YouTube channel.
