Bingkai Karya – After stepping into a new phase of her musical journey with Pon Your Tone, Jinan Laetitia officially releases her latest single, “Pemula.” More than just a song marking her independence after leaving a major label, “Pemula” is a reflection of complete honesty in her songwriting, an act of freedom and rediscovery.
“I wrote ‘Pemula’ during a time when I was facing many new beginnings,” Jinan shares in a heartfelt conversation. “I had just left my previous label, started a new relationship, and went through many changes at once. It felt both exciting and scary but I remembered how, when I first started making music, I knew nothing and had nothing, yet I made it. So I told myself, if I could do it then, I can do it now. That’s the spirit of being a beginner.”
Musically, “Pemula” captures the pulse of a hurried Jakarta morning. Vibrant, restless, yet filled with purpose. Produced by Greybox and co written with her fiancé and creative partner Matter Mos, the track intertwines a fast paced rhythm with tender undertones, symbolizing the heartbeat of those who strive every day for the people they love.
Though “Pemula” is a love song, Jinan writes with disarming honesty and realism. The lyrics flow like her everyday speech. Raw, reflective, and intimate. It’s not sugarcoated, but hopeful. Beneath its chaos lies a quiet optimism, love, though complex, remains worth holding onto.
“I hope people who listen to this song remember the reasons behind what they do,” Jinan adds. “Why we work, why we fight, why we stay it’s because there’s always something greater behind it. Love, family, dreams, or simply the desire to grow.”
“Pemula” will be released on Friday, October 24, 2025, as the lead single from her upcoming EP of the same name. The single will be available on all digital streaming platforms, with its lyric video premiering the same day on Jinan Laetitia’s YouTube channel.
