KATHMANDU (Basil Sini & Marco Hafiedz) presented pop-rock through their debut track “MADDY”. KATHMANDU wrote their work with Ridho Hafiedz of SLANK producing the song and Stephen Santoso mixing and mastering it.
Ridho of SLANK decided to be the producer of KATHMANDU because he saw that KATHMANDU has a great and distinct character. He hoped that the song “MADDY” would bring something new and KATHMANDU’s works would be loved.
The song describes the feelings of a shy man who has a crush on a woman named Maddy. When he was writing the song, Basil had a crush on Maddy. “We think that this song can represent people who lack courage, helping them try to convey hidden thoughts that they cannot express directly,” said Marco.

Even though the song was about Basil’s expression towards Maddy, the true initiation of the song was to actualize Marco’s desire to create a song with a woman name as the title. MADDY is now available on digital streaming platforms in Indonesia.
