Kotak, a band consisting of Tantri on vocals, Cella on guitar, and Chua on bass, is over 18 years old. This is a relatively mature age for a band to continue to exist and be active. Entering 19 years of work this year, Kotak invited his fanbase, which is affectionately known as ‘Kerabat Kotak’ to meet at a Meet & Greet event which was held on March 6, 2023. More than 60 of Kerabat Kotak attended the event, both virtual and offline.
In this event, they also had the opportunity to enjoy an acoustic performance of the song ‘It’s Okay Not to Be Okay’ whose official music video was released on the Kotak’s YouTube channel on March 1, 2023. This single itself is included in the mini album Kotak “18+” released last year. Tantri the vocalist said that for those who feel defeated, one day we will be victorious in our lives, when there are difficulties there will be a way, when we are sad after that there will be happiness.

Last year, Kotak released a mini album entitled “18+”. Songs at 18+ also address other social issues, like “Budak Konten ” which satirizes people who always create content on social media for their habit. Likewise “Local Pride” talks about style that does not only have to wear luxury or branded items. This album also has the single ‘Sabda Netizen’ which is a collaboration with senior reggae singer Ras Muhammad.
Kotak hopes that their songs can cure people feeling tired or defeated. They want people to be able to go through all the upheavals in life. Tantri said that all the problems that we think are not good will one day be fine, because we are able to get through them.
