Bingkai Karya – Have you ever found yourself holding on to something uncertain, knowing it might not end well, but still choosing to stay? That’s the emotional core of Lyodra’s brand-new single, “Bodohnya Aku”, released under Universal Music Indonesia.
The song captures the story of someone who despite knowing the risks and the pain keeps waiting and returning to a relationship built on uncertainty. It’s about the vulnerability of choosing to love even when the outcome is unclear, and the bittersweet truth of being “foolish” for holding on.
“This story is something many people can relate to. Sometimes we’re blinded by our emotions, and even though we know it might hurt, the feelings are still real, and we can’t ignore them. That’s exactly why ‘Bodohnya Aku’ exists,” Lyodra shared about her latest release.
Lyodra also took part in the songwriting process, collaborating with Clara Riva and S/EEK. Musically, the track is arranged as a mid-tempo pop ballad, enriched by a powerful string section that adds grandeur to the overall composition making it both easy to listen to and emotionally stirring.
Accompanying the single is a unique and dynamic music video directed by Prialangga. Unlike Lyodra’s previous visuals, this one comes with a strong storytelling element and even features Lyodra in an intense fight scene against an antagonist. The concept of a looping storyline mirrors the song’s theme, portraying the endless cycle of falling back into the same love despite knowing it’s filled with uncertainty and heartbreak.
“The video was super fun to film even though it required a lot of effort, especially with the fight scenes. But overall, it was such a different experience for me compared to my previous music videos because this one really focuses on storytelling,” Lyodra explained.
With “Bodohnya Aku”, Lyodra hopes to bring something fresh and unexpected to her fans, both musically and visually.
“At the end of the day, this song is really comforting to listen to, and the music video also gives you something new to experience. I hope people can feel the difference I wanted to bring with this release,” she concluded.
