Many West took their second step towards a mini-album by releasing a new single titled “Before You Leave.” In “Before You Leave”, Many West poured out the anxiety of teenage to adult transition romance. This new song is the second single of Many West after “I Can’t Find Somebody Like You” and is a part of the EP “Is It Okay If I Love You?” which will be released in August.
‘Before You Leave’ tells the story of letting go of someone who will leave them. Being in denial, selfish, and unable to accept the situation makes this story a reality that is made into a song where some people must have experienced this phase in romance.
In order to convey the full message of this single and later EP, Many West uses a film-look photography campaign and a short clip vertical video with the theme of someone who has unstable emotions, melancholy and cannot escape from their past.
Based on the story of this single, Many West made the music in this song with ambient 80s synths and arpeggiator games throughout the song which are quite diverse. The single was all done by them with help for the arrangement with Luthfi Adianto or Cosmicburp. The single “Before You Leave” can already be heard on all digital platforms with a lyric video on YouTube.

Many West is an Indie-Pop band from Semarang, Indonesia. Formed in 2019, with 3 members Fazada Febrian (vocal/bass), Maulana Zaky (vocal/guitar), Irfan Abdi (guitar/synth). The name “Many West” was inspired by where they live, Manyaran, West Semarang, Semarang City. Their music has a touch of electronic, synth and organic instruments. Wrapped with a slightly cheesy and melancholic lyrical character.
