Bingkai Karya – Vietnamese singer-songwriter MINH has dropped his latest single, “Gossip”, a cheeky yet raw track that blends wit with unapologetic honesty, showcasing his growth as an artist and his flair for turning drama into art.
Just like its title suggests, “Gossip” dives headfirst into the very human habit of talking behind someone’s back. Inspired by a real-life falling-out with a friend, MINH channels the sting of betrayal into a catchy, attitude-filled anthem that proves he’s never afraid to say exactly what’s on his mind.
In Vietnamese culture, gossip is often seen as a guilty pleasure, harmless when you’re not the one being talked about, yet undeniably toxic when you are. MINH plays with that paradox, embracing the messy duality of finding entertainment in something hurtful. With tongue-in-cheek charm, he dances between sadness and joy, turning emotional chaos into a playful yet cathartic bop.
“Gossip” unfolds like a whispered confession: tense, thrilling, and intimate. Each verse peels back another layer of the story being told, until all that’s left is raw truth with a dash of sweet revenge.
“This song is about me owning up to caring when I was gossiped about and then taking control of the narrative. Yeah, I love gossip. So what? We often shame people for being emotional or outspoken, but the truth is, everyone gossips. If you say you don’t, you’re lying,” MINH shares.
Written in late 2023, “Gossip” marks the first time MINH allowed himself to write something completely unfiltered. For him, it’s more than just a song, it’s a state of mind, a vibe, and a turning point. The track has already made its live debut at multiple festivals, including Tomato Music Festival and HOZO Music Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok Music City in Thailand, and Carnival Fever in Taichung, Taiwan.
