Navigate the melancholy of daughterhood with Yokkorio’s latest coming-of-age single ‘Can You Fix It’

Bingkai Karya – Taiwanese indie singer-songwriter Yokkorio has released her new single ‘Can You Fix It’. In the track, Yokkorio sings about the identity of daughterhood and the process of shedding away the societal expectations that come with it. In this coming-of-age song, Yokkorio describes a journey of metamorphosis, shedding away old habits and rituals to find one’s individuality, and emerging at the end of this journey as a singular soul navigating the river of life.

Yokkorio is the independent music project of Taiwanese musician Liao Yuwen (廖柚文), which began in 2022. As Yokkorio, she released the album Moirai Kiss in 2023, and embarked on a Taiwan tour across Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung. Previously Yuwen was also part of dream pop The Fur., which released two albums Town (2018) and Serene Reminder (2020).

As Yokkorio, Yuwen plays the multiple roles of composer, arranger and producer. Speaking about the project, she shares that: “I just want to do things that make me feel fulfilled. Music has taken me to many places, and accompanied me through wounds and healing. It will continue to show me the marvelousness of life, and I think I will always be with it.”
