New Hope Club Releases “Call Me A Quitter” And “Whatever”

New Hope Club released “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever” on 17 August 2022. The songs are about honest feelings about relationships. “Call Me A Quitter” tells about making more effort in long distance relationships,

“We feel, as a band, that this is the most personal song we have ever released. We are nervous for everyone to hear it. ‘Call Me A Quitter’ came about when we were sat in the back of a cab in London, talking about how we were struggling with relationships during the pandemic. It was a kind-of therapy session for the three of us to write down how we had all been feeling. The song is mostly about the self-realization that we can do better in all aspects of our life. This was the song and moment for us to change that around and not quit on what we had worked so hard for.”

Meanwhile, “Whatever” is a summertime break-up song with laid-back delivery that evokes the sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire. The insightful lyrics fill a space between the bitterness of the situation’s closure and the breath of letting go. Both “Call Me A Quitter” and “Whatever” were written and performed by Blake, George and Reece. New Hope Club also developed under the band’s mentorship with multi-platinum, award-winning US producer and songwriter Ross Golan (5 Seconds of Summer, Maroon 5).

New Hope Club comeback with their new singles “Getting Better ” and “Girl Who Does Both”  after their debut album listed in top 5 UK music charts in 2020. Earlier this summer – both singles have achieved over 3 million combined streams so far.
