QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Released “IN TIMES NEW ROMAN” Album With Main Track “PAPER MACHETE”

Queens of the Stone Age continue “Giving fans something to look forward to” (UPROXX) with the release of “In Times New Roman…” on June 16 via Matador Records. This pre-release gift comes from the highlight song titled “Paper Machete”, an instantly recognizable future QOTSA classic that is sure to catch fans’ attention.

Lyrically, “Paper Machete” is Josh Homme’s most prominent signature to date. If the previous release, “Carnavoyeur”, signaled resignation and acceptance, the “Paper Machete” is a collision of raw power to get you there.

“Thematically, ‘Carnavoyeur’ seems to take into account the natural ebb and flow of life, finding strength in accepting the things that cannot be changed: ‘When there’s nothing I can do, I smile,’ vocalist Josh Homme sings in a darkly sweet tone, sounding equally sinister and restrained as he watches the world around him turn to dust,” CONSEQUENCE says that the song’s description is as accurate as the newly released song written and directed by Liam Lynch.
