Rahmania Astrini Brings ‘Pilihlah Aku’ with an Energetic and Fun Twist

Bingkai Karya – After releasing her English-language single “Love Me Like You,” Rahmania Astrini fondly known as Astri returns with a fresh Indonesian song titled “Pilihlah Aku.” In this track, Astri not only delivers vibrant music but also conveys a powerful message of female empowerment.

Astri shared the meaning behind the song  “It’s all about empowerment. That girls can also do things that are usually seen as a man’s role in society—like making the first move.”

This song is an interpolation of Krisdayanti’s legendary 2004 hit. Rather than simply covering the track, Astri took on the challenge of reinventing it while preserving its essence. “Centil Era” vibes is definitely back!

“Of course, since this song is already so iconic, I wanted to keep its core value and original essence while incorporating my personal touch,” she said.

When asked to describe her version of “Pilihlah Aku,” Astri casually replied, “Two cute words: joget centil,” capturing the cheerful and energetic vibe she aimed to bring.

In the music video released alongside the song, Astri showcases a fresh and lively style. Bold wardrobe choices and catchy dance choreography reinforce the youthful and fun theme she wanted to highlight.

“The main inspiration is youth and fun. I wanted to bring back the era when Indonesian music was very lively and youthful,” she expressed, emphasizing her love for a more cheerful and colorful music era.

Astri hopes that “Pilihlah Aku” will be well received and enjoyed by a wide audience.
“I hope people find it enjoyable and fun to listen to,” she concluded.
