Rasyiqa Turns Chaos Into Clarity on Her Debut Album: ‘Reckless (the album)’ Out Now

Bingkai Karya – Indonesian singer-songwriter Rasyiqa has officially released her debut album, Reckless (the album), a heartfelt pop-rock scrapbook capturing the messy beauty of growing up. Across 14 tracks, the record blends the confessional honesty of diary entries with the cinematic spirit of 2000s rom-coms, late-night overthinking, and the quiet, brave process of learning how to love yourself.

The journey began in 2021, when Rasyiqa dropped her debut single “Reckless” on her 25th birthday. What was meant to be a standalone track cracked open a floodgate of emotions. “One song turned into two, then three,” she recalls. “Before I knew it, I was writing my way through things I couldn’t say out loud.”

Between 2021 and 2023, Rasyiqa documented heartbreaks, turning points, and small victories like scattered diary pages. From the angsty energy of “Get Up (Get Out!)” to the hushed vulnerability of “2:15 (Steph’s Song)”, the record holds space for every stage of her journey. “I’ve Had Enough” marks a breaking point, while “Just Like That” and “Two Shades of Blue” signal healing and new beginnings.

“These songs didn’t all come from one heartbreak,” Rasyiqa explains. “They came from years of figuring myself out. The throughline isn’t one person, but the way I used to see love and how that changed. Writing this album helped me connect the dots between who I was and who I’m becoming.”

At the center of the album is the focus track, “Mend This Break”, co-written with Dennis Ferdinand and Heston Prasetyo. Unlike her earlier single “Reckless”, which captured insecurity and longing, this song reflects self-acceptance. “The love and reassurance I was searching for, I finally found in myself,” she says. “This song is me choosing growth instead of waiting to be saved.”

Musically, Reckless (the album) blends pop, alt-rock, and singer-songwriter influences, with nods to Michelle Branch, early Paramore, and Vertical Horizon. Collaborators include Heston Prasetyo, cellosux, Rama Harto, and Dennis Ferdinand, along with co-writing contributions from Sade Susanto, Mikha Angelo, Pablo Mzd, and Andrea Wijaya.

The result is both a time capsule and a mirror a soundtrack for overthinkers, late bloomers, and anyone who’s ever felt lost but still held onto hope. It’s an album about heartbreak and healing, about closing chapters and daring to begin again.

“It’s about letting go of the chaos I once clung to, and learning that sometimes the softest, bravest kind of recklessness is just choosing to love yourself.” – Rasyiqa

About Rasyiqa
Raised in South Jakarta, Rasyiqa grew up with Disney Channel, MTV, and mixtapes spilling through her brother’s bedroom wall. By day she was an ordinary girl; by night she dreamed of being a rockstar. After a heartbreak at 25 pulled her back into songwriting, she discovered the stage she never thought she’d return to.

Her debut single “Reckless” (2021) produced with close friends Sade Susanto, Rama Harto, and cellosux, marked the beginning of her journey. A reimagined version, “Reckless (But Make It 80s)”, with city pop trio Vintonic, was listed among the best songs of 2021 by DetikHot and Pop Hari Ini.

Since then, she has built a catalog that feels like an open diary, from the angst-driven “Get Up (Get Out!)” to the tender “2:15 (Steph’s Song).” Her reflective single “Waiting on Fireworks” (2023) marked the shift from heartbreak to healing, followed by “Two Shades of Blue” (2024) and “Just Like That” (2025).

Now, with Reckless (the album), Rasyiqa closes one chapter and steps into another a story not of chaos, but of clarity, courage, and the beauty of becoming.
