Bingkai Karya – Musician, songwriter, and producer Syahravi has released his new EP titled “Romansa” an emotional work born from deep thoughts about love, loss, and the illusions that often come with them. This EP has four songs, including the previously released track Miliki Aku. “Romansa” marks a very important moment in Syahravi’s music journey—both personally and artistically.
“This EP is very personal for me. It feels like opening up my private journal and playing it out loud. The process helped me be more honest about my feelings, especially about love and the dreams we sometimes make up in our heads,” said Syahravi.
The title Romansa was chosen not just for its beautiful sound, but because it captures all the emotions within the EP. For Syahravi, “romance” is more than just love stories—it’s an emotional journey filled with trust, doubt, hope, and disappointment.
“The word ‘romansa’ feels classic but powerful. It’s not only about sweet love but also about the feelings that make us think, wait, or even feel hurt. All of that is inside this EP,” he explained.
The songs in “Romansa” explore different parts of falling in love—from the desire to be fully owned in “Miliki Aku,” the courage to open your heart in “Just Call Me Baby!”, reflections on the fast pace of modern love in “Merindu,” to silent hopes in the title track “Delusional.”
“Delusional” – An Unsent Letter in the Form of a Song
As the last and main track of the EP, Delusional shows the most vulnerable side of the whole project. Written as a personal gift to someone who once meant a lot to him, the song reflects desire, doubt, and the truth that not all love is returned.
“I wrote ‘Delusional’ as a gift that I might give someday. I want that person to know that meeting them was something special to me. This song is my honest version of a story I never got to tell,” shared Syahravi.
With lyrics like “Masa-masa dengan kamu, akan daku kenang selalu / Waktunya kita berdua, kutunggu,” Delusional expresses longing but also acceptance that it might have been a one-sided story that never really began. It’s more than a love song—it’s a way of letting go.
“Romansa” also pushed Syahravi’s musical creativity. The making of this EP led him to explore the soundscape of the 1980s and 1990s more deeply—decades he only knew casually before. During the process, he realized that many modern music elements he loves actually came from those eras.
“I was kind of amazed. Turns out, the cool sounds I often hear in today’s music have been around for a long time. This EP helped me see and appreciate the roots and details behind how music was made back then,” he added.
As part of Romansa’s promotion, Syahravi is scheduled to perform the songs live at the prestigious International Java Jazz Festival 2025 on May 31. This performance marks another big step in his growing music career in Indonesia.
