Sergio Busquets, who is now 34 years old, has spent 18 seasons with the Barcelona team. He started playing for the club in 2005, making his debut with the first team in 2008 and has also been the team captain for the last two seasons.
The Catalan midfielder has played 718 games in a Barça shirt which places him third on the all-time list. Besides that, he is one of the players who won the most trophies as a blaugrana with a total of 31 medals through 8 league titles, 7 Copas del Rey, 7 Spanish Super Cups, 3 Champions Leagues, 3 European Super Cups and 3 Club World Cups.
Sergio Busquets still has the remainder of the 2022/23 season ahead of him, his final weeks as a blaugrana. To round off his final season at FC Barcelona, Busquets has the chance to end his career as a blaugrana in the best possible way, adding another league title to his already impressive list of honours.
Busquets’ last game at Camp Nou will come on May 28 against Mallorca, before rounding off his Barcelona career away at Celta Vigo on June 4.
