Starbucks ‘BPJS’ and AQUA Mini Bottle Are Sold in the Market, Attracting People’s Curiosity

Starbucks and AQUA made a new innovation through their packaging. Recently, Starbucks has sold their products in cans. Starbucks Ready-to-Drink (RTD) coffee drinks in Indonesian minimarkets has shocked people, especially fans of Starbucks coffee and drinks since the price offered is much cheaper than those sold in outlets.

People can enjoy canned Starbucks drinks for only IDR 15,000. With this low price, canned Starbucks is called the BPJS (Budget Pas-Pasan, Jiwa Sosialita) version. There were 2 canned Starbucks variants that can be found in Indonesian supermarkets and minimarkets from 19 September 2022. Both are Espresso Latte and Mocha which are classified as Starbucks Doubleshot category.

On the other hand, AQUA is also no less creative by selling the mini-sized bottle. The bottle is called ‘cebol’ because of its quiet mini size and a clear bottle design. The size of this bottle is able to accommodate about 220ml of mineral water. This size is smaller than the 330 ml bottle product.

This bottle is indeed cheap at IDR 2,000, compared to the sizes of 330 ml (IDR 3,500) and 600 ml (IDR 4,000). This bottle is sold in supermarkets, minimarkets, shops and stalls. The packaging of AQUA mini-sized bottles classifies as more eco-friendly and easy to recycle because it only uses two components for its packaging.

So, what’s your opinion about these innovations from 2 big brands?
