Synchronize Fest 2025: A Cross-Generational Sound Odyssey of 35 Acts and Cultural Mashups

Bingkai KaryaSynchronize Fest 2025 has announced the line-up for the most anticipated annual music celebration in Indonesia, taking place on October 3, 4, and 5, 2025 at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran. Carrying the theme #SalingSilang, the festival presents a curation of cross-generational performers with an authentic and diverse concept. Below is a portion of the performers announced on May 28, 2025:

1. ASEP BALON

Asep Balon is a rapper from Majalaya, Bandung Regency, known for his unique style of performing Sundanese-language hip-hop infused with humor and social criticism. Asep often performs wearing a mask, adding a mysterious aura to his appearance. He is also active in building the hip-hop music community in Majalaya through the group “Majatribe.” Some of his popular songs include “Hakan Tah Ku Sia,” “Dadas,” and “Mending Jomblo,” each of which has garnered millions of views on YouTube. He has also collaborated with renowned musicians like Kaka Slank and Doel Sumbang.

2. AVHATH & KUNTARI

Avhath x Kuntari is a cross-genre collaboration between Jakarta-based black metal band Avhath and experimental musician Kuntari (Tesla Manaf) from Bandung. This collaboration produced a mini-album titled “Ephemeral Passage”, released on December 6, 2024.

“Ephemeral Passage” consists of six songs that depict an internal journey through a dark and atmospheric soundscape. Avhath brings intense black metal elements, while Kuntari adds experimental touches using traditional instruments such as rebana and Indonesian percussion.

3. BERNADYA

Bernadya Ribka Jayakusuma, known as Bernadya, is a singer and songwriter from Indonesia, born on March 16, 2004, in Surabaya, East Java. She first gained attention after participating in The Voice Kids Indonesia Season 1 in 2016. In 2022, she joined Juni Records. In 2024, she released her debut album “Sialnya, Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan”, which marked her entry into the mainstream music industry. This debut broke two Spotify records: the highest daily streams for an album and over 800 million total streams, with a peak of 14 million monthly listeners.

4. CENTIL ERA: ASTRID, AURA KASIH, CITRA SCHOLASTIKA, SHANTY, SHE, SINTA DAN JOJO, T2, DUO MAIA, NAYKILLA (MUSIC BY OOMLEO BERKARAOKE)

“Centil Era” describes an aesthetic and expressive style that is playful, flirty, and colorful, often associated with a free-spirited, retro, and quirky femininity. This trend has recently re-emerged among the youth in fashion, music, and social media, characterized by visual elements like glitter, ribbons, lace, bright pastels, and early-2000s vibes.Synchronize Fest brings this “centil” manifesto to the stage with a musical performance featuring iconic “centil” figures across generations: Astrid, Aura Kasih, Citra Scholastika, Shanty, She, Sinta and Jojo, T2, Duo Maia, Naykilla (music by Oomleo Berkaraoke).

5. ELVY SUKAESIH X TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA

The Queen of Dangdut, Elvy Sukaesih, is not just a legend in Indonesia but also the global face of dangdut music! Since the mid-1980s, Umi Elvy has made waves in Japan by performing on various stages, recording, and even gracing the cover of Japan’s prestigious Music Magazine. This was a milestone that introduced dangdut to the global stage. In 1996, she also collaborated with legendary Japanese ska-jazz group Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. This performance at Synchronize Fest will be Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra’s return to Indonesia, marking a historic cross-genre and international collaboration.

6. .FEAST.

Feast is an alternative rock band from Jakarta formed in 2012, fronted by Baskara Putra (vocals), Adnan Satyanugraha Putra (guitar), Dicky Renanda Putra (guitar), and Fadli Fikriawan Wibowo (bass). In 2024, .Feast released their third studio album “Membangun & Menghancurkan”, a new chapter in their musical journey. The album features 15 tracks produced with 12 different producers.

7. GUSTI IRWAN WIBOWO

Gusti Irwan Wibowo, known by his stage name Gustiwiw, is a musician, songwriter, producer, and content creator from Bekasi. He released his album “Duh Gusti” in 2023. As a producer, his achievements are equally impressive, he played a key role in producing Ardhito Pramono’s album “Wijayakusuma” and Sal Priadi’s “Markers and Such Pens Flashdisks”.

8. HINDIA

Hindia is the solo project moniker of Baskara Putra, also known as the vocalist of .Feast and Lomba Sihir. Hindia has released several albums: “Menari Dengan Bayangan”, “Lagipula Hidup Akan Berakhir”, and his latest mixtape “Doves, ’25 on Blank Canvas”, featuring 16 tracks.

9. HIVI!

HIVI! is a pop music group from Jakarta formed in 2009. Initially composed of Ilham Aditama (vocals), Febrian Nindyo (guitar/vocals), and their new vocalist Kei Cinantya (vocals), the band is known for light and romantic pop songs with lyrics that resonate with young audiences. HIVI! has released several albums including “Say Hi! To HiVi!” (2012), “Kereta Kencan” (2017), and “Ceritera” (2019).

10. JKT48

Idol group JKT48 will perform at Synchronize Festival 2025. Known for hits such as “Heavy Rotation,” “Rapsodi,” and “Fortune Cookie yang Mencinta,” their appearance at the festival will feature a special concept that will be announced by Synchronize Fest at a later date.

11. K3BI

K3BI is a hip-hop artist from Eastern Indonesia known for his bold sonic exploration, blending elements of melodic drill, jersey club, house, and touches of Brazilian funk. After debuting with the album “Ready 2 Ryde” (2022), he released “Pionir” (2024), marking a more modern and experimental musical evolution. K3BI is also active in collaborations, including the single “Rela Pergi” with Laze and A. Nayaka, and “Nona” with Jordy Waelauruw, demonstrating his commitment to pushing genre boundaries and enriching Indonesia’s music landscape.

12. KENYA

Kenya is a hardcore unit from Denpasar, Bali, formed on June 26, 2022, by Gungwah (vocals), Bagus (guitar), Gung Yoga (bass), and Arya (drums), rooted in the 0361xCrew community. Known for their aggressive music and lyrics that voice social unrest, their single “No Justice” highlights the dynamics of Denpasar city. After releasing their debut EP “Bleed To Prove” in May 2023 through Skullism Records, Kenya has actively performed across Indonesia and will be the first Indonesian band to play at the prestigious Outbreak Fest 2025 in the UK.

13. KUNTO AJI X YOGYAKARTA HADROH CLAN

Kunto Aji, a Yogyakarta-born musician known for introspective tracks like “Rehat” and “Sulung,” will collaborate with Yogyakarta Hadroh Clan (YKHC) at Synchronize Fest 2025. Previously, they performed together at “Kajian Obrolan dan Lagu” (KOLAG) at Masjid Jogokariyan on March 9, 2025, where Kunto Aji sang selawat with deep emotion, creating a reverent and touching atmosphere. This collaboration fuses pop music with hadroh traditions, showcasing Kunto Aji’s musical exploration beyond his usual pop and jazz genres.

14. LOMBA SIHIR

Lomba Sihir is an alternative pop band from Jakarta formed in 2019 by Baskara Putra (Hindia) with Natasha Udu, Rayhan Noor, Tristan Juliano, and Enrico Octaviano. Originally Hindia’s backing band, they evolved into an independent group with equal contributions from all members. Their debut album “Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia” (2021) reflects urban life dynamics and social concerns. Lomba Sihir recently released their album “Obrolan Jam 3 Pagi” in May 2025.

15. MUSIK DARI RANGGA & CINTA

Following the success of the 2023 collaboration with Miles Films through “Konser Petualangan Sherina”, Synchronize Fest 2025 returns with a new show, “Musik Dari Rangga & Cinta”. This musical performance is based on the continuation of Rangga & Cinta’s love story from the film IP “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?” This show will feature the cast of the “Rangga & Cinta” film (to be released October 2025) and top Indonesian singers to be announced soon.

16. NDX A.K.A

NDX A.K.A is a music duo from Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta, formed on September 11, 2011, by Yonanda Frisna Damara (Nanda) and Fajar Ari. Embracing the dangdut hip-hop genre with Javanese lyrics, they’re known for heartfelt and melancholy songs such as “Ditinggal Rabi,” “Terminal Giwangan,” and “Tewas Tertimbun Masa Lalu.”

17. ORKES SHAGGYDOG

Shaggydog is a band from Yogyakarta formed on June 1, 1997, in the Sayidan neighborhood, consisting of Heru (vocals), Richard (guitar), Raymond (guitar), Bandizt (bass), Lilik (keyboard), and Yoyo (drums). Their signature style, “Doggy Style,” combines ska, reggae, jazz, swing, and rock, influenced by artists like Cherry Poppin Daddies, Hepcat, and Bob Marley. At Synchronize Fest, Shaggydog will present a special orchestral concept performance.

18. PADI REBORN

Padi Reborn is a pop-rock band from Surabaya formed on April 8, 1997, by five Airlangga University students: Fadly (vocals), Piyu (guitar), Ari (guitar), Rindra (bass), and Yoyo (drums). Originally named Soda, they later changed their name to Padi, inspired by the philosophy that mature rice plants bow low. Their career started with “Sobat” in ‘Indie Ten’(1998), followed by the successful “Lain Dunia” (1999). “Sesuatu Yang Tertunda” (2001) sold about 1.8 million copies. After a seven-year hiatus, they returned in 2018 as Padi Reborn with renewed spirit while preserving their musical identity.

19. PERUNGGU

Perunggu is an alternative rock trio from Jakarta formed in 2019 by Maul Ibrahim (vocals & guitar), Adam Adenan (bass, keyboard), and Ildo Hasman (drums). Nicknamed “after-office rock band,” they began playing music after their day jobs while maintaining their careers. Their debut single “Menyala” (2019), EP “Pendar” (2020), and full-length album “Memorandum” (2022) received praise for lyrics reflecting the urban working class. Songs like “Biang Lara,” “Tarung Bebas,” and “33x” express their generational voice.

20. REALITY CLUB

Reality Club is an indie rock band from Jakarta composed of Fathia Izzati, Faiz Novascotia Saripudin, Nugi Wicaksono, and Era Patigo. Known for their poetic English lyrics and well-crafted arrangements, they’ve become one of Indonesia’s most prominent indie bands. Since debuting with “Never Get Better” (2017), they’ve released “What Do You Really Know?” (2019) and “Reality Club Presents…” (2023), solidifying their presence in both local and international music scenes. They joined the independent label Sun Eater, marking a new chapter in their musical journey.

21. SAL PRIADI

Sal Priadi is a musician known for poetic and experimental music, with lyrics exploring themes of love, spirituality, and daily life. He began his career by uploading song covers on SoundCloud in 2015, followed by the debut single “Kultusan” in 2017, “Ikat Aku di Tulang Belikatmu” (2018), and “Amin Paling Serius” (2019) in a duet with Nadin Amizah. His first album “Berhati” (2020) was followed by “Markers and Such Pens Flashdisks” (2024), featuring songs like “Dari Planet Lain,” “Yasudah,” and “Gala Bunga Matahari,” which earned him the Best Male Pop Solo Artist award at Anugerah Musik Indonesia 2024.

22. SATU PER EMPAT

Satu Per Empat is an alternative band from Jakarta formed in 2015, consisting of Bismo Triastirtoaji (vocals), Audi Adrianto (guitar), and Levi Stanley (drums). Their music blends alt-rock, alternative pop, and electronic elements, with lyrics that often address social, personal, and rarely discussed issues. Their notable works include “Pasca Falasi” (2020), “Lelucon Revivalis” (2022), and “Semoga Beruntung Nasib Buruk” (2024), all of which received warm responses from the Indonesian alternative music scene.

23. SKANDAL

Skandal is an alternative band from Yogyakarta formed in 2014. They are known for a blend of indie rock, power pop, and slowcore, inspired by 1990s–2000s bands like Pavement and Weezer. Their debut full-length album “Melodi” was released in October 2024 under Disaster Records, featuring 12 songs about daily life with honest, melancholic lyrics and a strong nostalgic touch.

24. STADIUM ALL-STAR (BOBBY SURYADI, JACKY, ZALDY GRACIA)

Hearing the name “Stadium” immediately brings back memories of a legendary club in Kota Jakarta during the 1990s–2000s. Though the club has long since closed, its legacy still burns. Synchronize Fest will revive its spirit with a special performance under the name “Stadium All Star”, featuring DJ legends Bobby Suryadi, Jacky, and Zaldy Gracia.

25. SUPERMAN IS DEAD: 30 YEARS

Superman Is Dead (SID) is a legendary punk rock band from Kuta, Bali. In 2025, SID will celebrate their 30th anniversary, and Synchronize Fest will feature a special performance commemorating their journey. The show will present their greatest hits from all SID albums.

26. TEENAGE DEATH STAR: THUNDER BOARDING SCHOOL

Teenage Death Star is an alternative rock band from Bandung, formed in the early 2000s by Sir Dandy and Alvin Yunata, known for the slogan “Skill Is Dead” and their chaotic circus-like sound. After releasing their debut album “Longway to Nowhere” in 2008, they return with their second album “Thunder Boarding School” in 2025, featuring collaborations with 12 cross-genre artists, including Henry Foundation, Pamungkas, and Rian D’MASIV. Their Synchronize Fest set will bring this album to life with the featured collaborators.

27. THE ADAMS & HORNSTAR BIG BAND

The Adams is a Jakarta-based indie rock band known for their distinct vocal harmonies and romantic melodies like “Konservatif” and “Hanya Kau.” Their musical journey started in 2002, continuing through the release of “Agterplaas” (2019). At Synchronize Fest 2025, they will collaborate with Hornstar Big Band, presenting a grand concept with an expanded brass section.

28. THE CITY CRYPTS (DENISA, PELTERAS, MORGENSOLL)

The City Crypts is a collaborative tour project uniting three Jakarta-based acts: Denisa, Pelteras, and Morgensoll. Denisa is a singer-songwriter known for dark, emotional music, with her 2023 album “St. Bernadette”. Pelteras is a post-punk/deathrock band formed in 2016, while Morgensoll is a post-metal unit established in 2016 by Haecal Benarivo. They will share one stage under the name The City Crypts. This performance will also be Morgensoll’s final appearance before retiring from music.

29. THE PANTURAS

The Panturas is a surf rock band from Jatinangor, West Java, formed in 2016 by Abyan Nabilio (vocals/guitar), Rizal Taufik (guitar), Bagus Patria (bass), and Surya Fikri (drums). Their debut began with the mini-album “Mabuk Laut” (2018), followed by the full-length “Ombak Banyu Asmara” (2021), and the EP “Galura Tropikalia” (2024), which fused Sundanese traditional music with surf rock. With a DIY spirit and bold musical exploration, The Panturas have played at major music festivals, including Fuji Rock Festival 2025 in Japan.

30. THE TREES AND THE WILD

The Trees & The Wild is a band from Bekasi formed in 2005, known for their blend of folk, post-rock, and ambient styles with strong Indonesian identity. Their two albums are “Rasuk” (2009), which has melancholic acoustic folk, and “Zaman, Zaman” (2016). This performance will be exclusive and only available at Synchronize Fest 2025.

31. TIPE-X

Tipe-X, the kings of Indonesian ska, have been pogoing and skankin’ with fans for over two decades. Their loyal fanbase continues to grow, and their hit-filled discography remains iconic. Their top three tracks — “Kamu Ngga Sendirian,” “Boyband,” and “Genit” — have each been streamed over 40 million times.

32. TOXICDEV!

Toxicdev! is an experimental musician from Medan known for hyperpop infused with dangdut, punk, and street racing aesthetics. After growing up in Taiwan and being influenced by Chinese hip-hop culture, he began making music in 2017. One of his latest collaborations is “Berdendang di Neraka” with Bandung punk band Dongker, combining hyperpop, dangdut, and punk to depict nighttime racing scenes. Other known songs include “MAMA BILANG AKU SWAG,” “Cinta\&Balapan,” and “GOSSIPIN, GAYA AKU,” showcasing his bold musical style and strong local identity.

33. WALI

Wali is a pop Melayu band from Ciputat, South Tangerang, formed on October 31, 1999, by Faank (vocals), Apoy (guitar), Tomi (drums), and Ovie (keyboard). Known for hits like “Cari Jodoh,” “Dik,” and “Baik-Baik Sayang,” Wali’s lyrics are religious and broadly appealing. Their debut album “Orang Bilang” (2008) marked the start of their success in Indonesia’s music scene. They are also known for their religious TV series “Amanah Wali”.

34. WHITE CHORUS

White Chorus is an electronic music duo from Bandung formed in 2019 by Clara Friska Adinda and Emir Agung Mahendra. Combining lo-fi, trip-hop, and pop, they create atmospheric, emotional soundscapes. Their debut EP “Happysad” (2019) was followed by the albums “FASTFOOD” (2021) and “LIMBO” (2023), and their most recent EP “do you guys wanna listen to some electro-pop music?” (2024). They were nominated for Best Electronic Artist at Anugerah Musik Indonesia.

35. WIJAYA 80

Wijaya 80 is an Indonesian pop trio consisting of Ardhito Pramono, Erikson Jayanto, and Hezky Joe, known for their 1980s retro pop style. They gained attention through their viral single “Terakhir Kali,” which boosted their profile across digital platforms and cemented them as a promising new act in Indonesia’s music industry.
