TAIWAN’S VULGAR SAVIOR RETURNS WITH “LITTLE BATTLE,” A STRIKING SECOND  ALBUM OF INNER STRUGGLES, EMOTIONAL DEPTH, AND GLOBAL VISION

Bingkai Karya – Taiwanese indie rock outfit Vulgar Savior marks five years of soft resistance and emotional intensity with their second album Little Battle, out April 16.

Formed in late 2020, Vulgar Savior is a four-piece band from Taiwan blending K-Indie with alternative rock, R&B, funk, psychedelic, and city pop. The group—featuring Ray Chen on guitar, Lo Hao Yu on bass, Song Chia Yun on vocals, and Samuel Chen on drums—has steadily built a loyal fanbase through their genre-blurring sound and emotionally resonant storytelling.

Their new album Little Battle dives deep into the fragile emotional breakdowns of everyday life. With warm, sometimes self-deprecating lyrics and lush, layered instrumentation, the record explores vulnerability, quiet defiance, and the moments when holding yourself together feels like a war.

“The little breakdowns of everyday life—fragility hits me like a punch. I fight back and lose, but in the wreckage of emotions, I unexpectedly reclaim life.”

Following the success of their debut, Little Battle represents a new chapter for the band, one shaped by maturity, subtle introspection, and an unwavering belief in the beauty of imperfection. It invites listeners to cry, laugh, spiral, and restart—again and again.

Whether it’s the desperation of I’ll Find You, the hollow waiting in I’m Here, or the bittersweet clarity in I Don’t Want to Marry You, the album soundtracks the quiet wars we fight in love, solitude, and selfhood.

To celebrate the release, Vulgar Savior is kicking off a nationwide tour across northern, central, and southern Taiwan, playing to crowds of a thousand—and this is just the beginning. A series of international tour dates is on the horizon, with plans to take Little Battle to stages around the world.
