The Smile Officially Released “Bending Hectic” After a Year’s Wait

The Smile (Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood and Tom Skinner) released their latest track “Bending Hectic”. The band entrusted the production to Sam Petts-Davies and London Contemporary Orchestra as accompaniment.

Recorded earlier this year at Abbey Road Studios in London, “Bending Hectic” debuted at the 2022 Montreux Jazz Festival. Despite not being in the subsequent live album, the song quickly gained popularity. After a year’s wait, “Bending Hectic” is now digitally available worldwide through XL Recordings.

The Smile began on a 16-day North American tour starting in Mexico City on June 21. After the tour, the band returned to the studio to continue working on new material.
