Bingkai Karya – Known widely as a talented actress, Tissa Biani is now taking a bold step into a new era: introducing herself as a young solo musician. Since 2019, Tissa has shown her dedication to music through several single releases, but 2025 marks a milestone, the release of her first-ever EP, “Apakah Kita?”.
Titled “Apakah Kita?”, the EP represents the core theme connecting all of its songs: the timeless questions that arise in every love story. The EP consists of four tracks: “Apakah Kita Hanya Bercanda?”, “Pernah Sangat Bahagia”, “Tak Lagi Ragu”, and a remake of the iconic “Gelora Asmara”.
In crafting this record, Tissa collaborated with Evan, who supported the songwriting and production process. Exploring new musical directions, she placed a strong emphasis on guitar-driven arrangements, shaping a sound that truly reflects her identity as a musician.
Each track in “Apakah Kita?” draws from experiences that many listeners can relate to: from getting to know someone, falling in love, facing doubts and expectations, to growing stronger together.
“I want people to listen to this EP and think, ‘Wait, this sounds just like my story!’” Tissa explains. Through her music, she hopes to create a personal connection that resonates across different stages of love.
The EP’s lead single, “Gelora Asmara”, is a remake of a classic once popularized by Derby Romero. For Tissa, the song holds a special place as one of her personal favorites. Her wish to reinterpret it in her own generation’s voice finally came true with this project.
Derby gave his full support throughout the journey, not only attending recording sessions but also stepping into the role of music video director for the very first time. He even appears as the leading man in the video. “It’s been amazing having Derby’s support from start to finish,” Tissa shares.
Beyond performing, Tissa also took part in writing some of the songs on “Apakah Kita?”. For her, it was a chance to explore her musical identity more deeply and introduce herself as a musician, not just an actress.
“I want these songs to be companions to anyone, whether you’re falling in love, heartbroken, or simply going through something. I hope they make you feel understood and not alone,” she says.
The debut EP “Apakah Kita?” is now available on all digital streaming platforms. The official music video for “Gelora Asmara” is also out now via Trinity Optima Production’s YouTube Channel.
