What makes this release unique is that the song isn’t launched alone, Sammy Simorangkir also released a different version of the same song on the exact same day. Two distinct voices, two unique styles, but one powerful message of love.
In a time when many Indonesian girl groups are opting for English-language songs, StarBe takes a bold step: returning to their roots with a song in Indonesian. They aim to bring listeners back to an era when local girl groups confidently performed in their native language. That’s not to say StarBe is unfamiliar with international music, their discography includes all-English tracks like “Story Of Us”, “Princess Samurai”, and “RoofTop”. But this time, StarBe wants to emphasize that Indonesian music and language are equally worthy of shining on the global stage.
“Berikan Yang Terbaik” tells a complicated and emotional love story, falling for someone who’s already in a relationship. Even though no actual relationship has formed, the narrator harbors hope that one day, love can blossom, without hurting anyone. A story many can relate to, because sometimes love comes at unexpected times and places.This single is also part of StarBe’s journey toward their second album, scheduled to be released in 2026. It marks the third confirmed track for the upcoming album.
StarBe, consisting of Annabelle Sanjaya (Abel), Shella Fernanda (Shella), Kezia Lizina (Kezia), and Chelsea Van Meijr (Chelsea) continues to showcase strong chemistry and unity as a group.
