As a songwriter, Clara often draws inspiration from her personal experiences. However, she doesn’t always tell those stories literally. In “Kenapa Ya?”, she reshapes those emotions into a narrative told from a different point of view, allowing listeners to discover their own interpretations and experiences within the song.
“Most of my songs come from my personal feelings. Sometimes I tell the story from someone else’s point of view, but somehow it still ends up reflecting my own experience,” Clara shared.
Musically, “Kenapa Ya?” delivers a lighthearted, energetic sound that encourages listeners to move. It’s the perfect companion for road trips, early mornings, or even workout sessions when you need an extra boost of positive energy.
The song is produced by KREATE, featuring Trinanda Imawan Wibisono on keys and synthesizers, Pefiri on drums and programming, Dimas Raditya on guitar, and Odi Purba on electric bass. The arrangement is further enriched by a vibrant brass section performed by Weber Marely (saxophone), Bruno Brito (trumpet), and Marco Almeida(trombone), giving the track a fresh and dynamic musical character.
