Bingkai Karya – The Chainsmokers are back with a track that captures not just a moment, but a mindset. Released via Columbia Records, “White Wine & Adderall” represents a fresh sonic chapter for the Grammy-winning duo, combining electronic experimentation with raw emotion and pop sensibility.
From the first note, the song feels like the culmination of an artistic journey that began with 2022’s ‘So Far, So Good’. While evolving into breezier, left-of-center dancefloor territory, it still carries the melodic hooks that once defined their biggest hits. This time, however, there’s a twist—gritty, angst-filled pop-punk vocals delivered by Beau Nox, a rising artist with writing credits for Drake and 6lack, help anchor the emotional core of the track.
What started as a casual experiment ended up becoming something undeniable. In a joint statement, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart shared insight into the track’s evolution:
“It took a whole day to get the main three lines of this song. We sat with the incredible Beau Nox scratching our heads and left the session thinking nothing would come from the tiny hook we had written. A couple days later, Drew and I were talking about this UKG (UK Garage) wave, and I said, ‘I bet you can’t make a version of this in that world.’ A few hours later, it was hitting pretty hard.”
At first, the duo didn’t expect to release the song. But after road-testing it in multiple shows and witnessing the overwhelming audience response, the decision was clear: “White Wine & Adderall” had to be heard.
Alex added,
“Last time I bet Drew he couldn’t make a certain style of song, we ended up with ‘Don’t Let Me Down.’ After all these years, maybe this is how we work best.”
With its blend of raw lyricism, edgy vocals, and experimental production, “White Wine & Adderall” signals a rebirth for The Chainsmokers, one that’s fearless, emotional, and totally unexpected. For longtime fans and new listeners alike, this track is both a surprise and a statement.
