Bingkai Karya – After releasing his debut single “Mau Tak Mau,” which has now surpassed four million streams, Tsaqib returns with a new track titled “Sudahkah Aku?”, a song that sounds calm on the surface but carries a multitude of questions often unspoken at the start of a relationship. Interestingly, this release coincides with the birthday of his partner, Zara Adhisty, whose name is also credited as co-writer alongside Tsaqib.
Through “Sudahkah Aku?”, Tsaqib explores those quiet doubts many of us hold: Am I enough? Is this love truly mutual?
“This song is dedicated to my partner, as a form of appreciation for supporting me from the very beginning of my journey,” Tsaqib shared. “Even though the lyrics may sound uncertain, what I really needed was feedback, whether or not I’ve been a good partner to her.”
Musically, “Sudahkah Aku?” maintains the pop-folk style introduced in “Mau Tak Mau”, but leans toward a more introspective approach. With soft melodies and contemplative lyrics, the track gently invites listeners into a deeper emotional space, filled with doubt, hope, and a desire to understand and love sincerely.
“The challenge for me came from the song’s simplicity,” Tsaqib explained. “I wrote it to be as short and personal as possible, without too many people involved. The difficulty was keeping my emotions aligned without getting carried away.”
While Tsaqib often draws inspiration from the lives of people around him, “Sudahkah Aku?” is a personal reflection of his own love story, like “Mau Tak Mau” before it. Behind the simple melody lies a long conversation, an honest exchange, and an emotional openness that eventually became lyrics.
“This song was born from small, ordinary moments that surprisingly linger,” said Tsaqib. “Like during a quiet chat or sitting in silence together—suddenly wondering: does being with me make her happy? Or is it actually exhausting?” He added, “I think it’s completely valid for these feelings to show up, especially around the seven-month mark in a relationship.”
Since performing at various showcases, Tsaqib has begun to earn recognition as a singer-songwriter who shares stories with quiet honesty and calm clarity. “Sudahkah Aku?” marks the next step in his musical journey, more mature, more personal, and just as emotionally relevant.
“My hope is that this single helps my listeners understand that feelings of inadequacy or insecurity in a relationship are not weaknesses, as long as we stay communicative and reflective about them,” he concluded.
