Bingkai Karya-Sapporo’s hottest band, Chevon, has just released their latest digital single, “meimei,” on July 3. This track not only marks a significant milestone in their six-year journey but also sets the stage for their debut solo tour, which begins on July 17.
The title “meimei” translates to “darkness.” Choosing this title, the band reflects a powerful message: in a world that always celebrates brightness, it’s perfectly okay to embrace the dark. Chevon also believes that those who experience darkness often have a deeper understanding of others’ struggles.
The music video complements the song with a distinctly Japanese aesthetic, mirroring the artwork for their “meimei” tour. It offers a vibrant and immersive visual experience that takes viewers into the chaotic world of Chevon’s “meimei.”
