Bingkai Karya-Singer-songwriter Feby Putri is back with a new single titled “Durasi.” This song serves as a heartfelt reminder for those living away from home to make time to visit their hometown.
“Durasi” tells the touching story of someone returning to their hometown and discovering significant changes in their family, especially with their mother. Through poetic lyrics and an emotional melody, Feby Putri captures the longing and regret often felt by those far from home.
“This song is inspired by my personal experiences. Also those of many people around me who are away from their hometowns,” Feby said. “I want to remind everyone of the importance of family and spending time together. We shouldn’t wait until it’s too late to meet up.”
Feby wrote both the music and lyrics for “Durasi.” The production was handled by Lafa Pratomo, with collaborative input from Kapal Udara. One interesting aspect of the song is its Makassar lyric, “Punna tena kisipainga’ motere’ ri boritta.” This phrase means “when we don’t remind each other to come home to our hometown.” This line adds depth to the song and makes it feel more personal.
Feby Putri hopes “Durasi” will touch listeners’ hearts and inspire them to visit their hometowns more often. “I want this song to be a reminder for migrants to set aside time and money to go home. Let’s not miss valuable opportunities to be with family,” she said.
“Durasi” is the second single from Feby Putri’s upcoming second album, “Hitam Putih.” It is set to be released at the end of September. The album will showcase a broader range of Feby’s musical exploration.
