With over a million Spotify listeners tuning in to his smooth single “Hoping You’ll Be Mine,” he’s ready to win over even more fans with his latest track, “Tak Pernah Sendiri,” which is his first song in Indonesian.
Abeliano shared that he didn’t expect this song to be chosen as his third single. He was experimenting with writing songs in Indonesian but found it a bit challenging. “I felt the song the label liked wasn’t fully polished yet, so I suggested another song in Indonesian that I felt more confident about, which was “Tak Pernah Sendiri”. I was surprised when Sony Music instantly loved the song and chose it as my third single,” he explained.
This new track holds a special meaning for Abeliano. He wrote it during a tough period when he felt lonely and overwhelmed. “I wrote this song during a tough time when I was overthinking a lot and feeling down. At that moment, I felt alone, like no one understood me, and I had no one to confide in. The melody came naturally along with the first line of the song, ‘Pernahkah kau melihat ku mengeluh menyesali hariku’. That’s how ‘Tak Pernah Sendiri’ was born. The song aims to encourage listeners and remind them that no one is truly alone. There will always be people who listen, support, and cheer us on through our darkest moments.”
When describing his new single, Abeliano chose three words: “joy,” “friendship,” and “encouragement.” He believes the uplifting melody will bring joy, while the lyrics serve as a friend to listeners, providing motivation and support.
