Bingkai Karya – For many, September is simply another month of the year. But for those seeking knowledge and intellectual discovery, it has become a highly anticipated moment. For three consecutive years, from 2024 to 2026, Endgame Town Hall has brought together people eager to exchange ideas and deepen their understanding of the world. Guided by educator, entrepreneur, and former Indonesian Minister of Trade Gita Wirjawan, the 2026 gathering took place on September 19 at Kartika Expo, Balai Kartini, Jakarta, under the theme “Cosmos of Knowledge.”
From 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., approximately 2,000 participants including students, teachers, lecturers, professionals, policymakers, and artists gathered for a full day of learning. Supported by Paragon Corp, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Periplus, and other partners, the event presented a wide range of perspectives through three thematic chapters: Universe, Humanity, and Self.
The Universe chapter opened the program with questions about space and the cosmos, explored through science, philosophy, culture, politics, and industry. The Humanity chapter examined people as members of societies, nations, and civilizations, while the concluding Self chapter turned inward, reflecting on self-discipline from spiritual perspectives and exploring the nature of human existence.
The event featured a diverse lineup of prominent speakers, including former Indonesian presidents Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Jusuf Kalla, diplomat Marty Natalegawa, physicist Premana Premadi, actor Reza Rahadian, journalist and author Leila S. Chudori, musician Baskara “Hindia” Putra, and many others. The day also featured a performance by choir group Svara Nusantara.
“This is an intellectual marathon,” Gita Wirjawan remarked several times throughout the sessions he moderated, capturing the event’s intensive and wide-ranging program.
Exploring the role of education, innovation, and STEM
Among the key discussions during the Humanity chapter was the role of curiosity, education, and teacher empowerment in fostering innovation. Sari Chairunnisa, Deputy CEO and Chief R&D Officer of ParagonCorp, and Harman Subakat, Group CEO of ParagonCorp, shared perspectives on these subjects. One hundred teachers and lecturers supported through Paragon’s Wardah Inspiring Teacher (WIT) and Inspiring Lecture Program (ILP) also attended, highlighting the importance of lifelong learning for educators.
“Adab, Ilmu, Amal, Manfaat. InsyaAllah kita akan perbaiki peradaban bersama-sama,” Harman Subakat said, emphasizing the potential for individuals to contribute to a better civilization through interconnected personal, human, and spiritual development.
Meanwhile, Irsyad Sahroni, HR Director of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH), discussed the role of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in advancing civilization, including the adoption of artificial intelligence in industry. He also outlined practical challenges and opportunities for collaboration between industry and universities.
When asked how Indonesia could develop more STEM talent, Irsyad highlighted the economic value industry can generate to help nurture more people interested in science, technology, and related fields.
As an intellectual platform, Endgame aims to encourage public conversations about cognitive development and better governance to help shape a brighter future for Indonesia and the world. Through its podcast, Town Hall, Chronicles, and publishing initiatives, it continues to create spaces for ideas, learning, and meaningful dialogue.
