Bingkai Karya – Belgian pop phenomenon Angèle returns with her energetic new single “What You Want,” in collaboration with the French electronic powerhouse duo Justice. The track was officially released on February 27, 2026 through Angèle VL Records / Because Music, alongside a cinematic music video created with (LA)HORDE, the visionary trio behind the Ballet National de Marseille who have also worked with Madonna, Sam Smith, and Christine and the Queens.

A Global Pop Force

For audiences across Asia who recognize Angèle as the face of CHANEL Chance Eau Splendide, launched successfully in Singapore and Tokyo in 2025 and widely covered by Vogue Singapore, ELLE Singapore, Grazia Singapore, and Harper’s Bazaar Malaysia, “What You Want” marks a major new chapter in her global journey.

Following her stunning performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics alongside Phoenix and Kavinsky performing “Nightcall,” which broke records on Shazam, Angèle now delivers a collaboration that feels powerful while remaining emotional and dynamic.

“What You Want” strikes with the power and clarity that only top tier pop can achieve. The track blends Angèle’s light and intimate pop instincts with Justice’s industrial elegance and grand electronic sound influenced by rock.

A Collaboration That Happened Naturally

The collaboration began in December 2024 when Angèle attended a Justice concert in Brussels with her mother. After meeting backstage, she invited them to her studio and played a song she liked but had not yet finalized.

Angèle recalls:

“I stopped by their dressing room to say hello after watching their show, which I really enjoyed. It was the first time we met. We talked a lot about our careers and our creative visions. Spontaneously, I invited them to the studio. We spent the afternoon listening to demos I was working on. I had a song called “What You Want,” a sensual and slightly offbeat track. But since I wasn’t fully satisfied with it, I had put it aside. I felt that Justice could bring the electro club energy and tension that was missing from the first version. When they came back with their version, I thought it was incredible. They truly understood everything. They brought the strength the song was lacking without changing its intention or balance. Bringing two worlds together without losing their identities was the greatest success of this track.”

Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé from Justice added:

“Seeing Angèle’s creative process confirmed our intuition that she is an outstanding musician and producer. Working on “What You Want” with her felt easy and natural. Even though our music is different, the song called for something both sensual and powerful, and we immediately connected with that without compromise.”

The Music Video

Filmed at midnight using an iPhone 17 Pro in the narrow streets of Marseille between a laundromat, alleyways, and bars, the music video expands the story of love and female empowerment with an intense cinematic atmosphere.

The video features dancer Nora Monsecour in a passionate chase, while Angèle appears as a figure who challenges boundaries and prejudices along the way.

(LA)HORDE explains:

“After the buzz of her collaboration at the Olympics with Phoenix and Kavinsky, we wondered how a young woman like Angèle could take over the codes of French Touch, a powerful artistic movement that has long been dominated by men. We were excited by the idea of supporting the meeting between the fathers of electro music and Angèle’s own universe.”

The iPhone 17 Pro becomes a storytelling tool, moving close to bodies and faces to follow motion fluidly while capturing the density of the night atmosphere. Angèle appears mesmerizing, a pop star walking through the darkness of the night with both courage and elegance.

About the Song

Singing in both English and French, Angèle moves between personal emotions and moments of collective release.

“What you want / I’m only / what you want / c’est pour la vie,” she whispers.

Justice brings scale and tension, while Angèle provides presence and magnetism. The result is a song that feels global and perfectly aligned with the current moment.

About Angèle

Angèle is one of the most important pop artists to emerge from Europe in the past decade. Born Angèle Van Laeken, she built her career through a clear artistic vision and strong creative control.

Her debut album “Brol” released in 2018 sold more than one million copies and produced generational anthems including “Balance ton quoi,” a feminist anthem that accompanied the MeToo movement in France.

Her second album “Nonante Cinq” released in 2021 expanded her reach further, blending pop disco sounds with emotional clarity and confident storytelling. The album led to a sold out arena tour, millions of streams, and major festival stages.

Her first global breakthrough came in 2020 with her bilingual lockdown collaboration “Fever” with Dua Lipa, which became a major hit and introduced her to international audiences. Rolling Stone described her as “one of those singers you want to know before they become huge.”

As the ambassador for CHANEL Chance Eau Splendide, she shone in Singapore and Tokyo with extensive coverage from Asian fashion media. At Coachella, she wrapped herself in a pride flag while performing, turning the Mojave stage into a declaration of free love. Her songs, including “Ta reine,” place same sex love stories at the center of pop narratives.

Throughout her career, Angèle’s music has become a soundtrack for first love, queer self discovery, late night solitude, and political awareness.

After billions of streams, collaborations with Dua Lipa, a Netflix documentary titled “Angèle,” CHANEL fashion campaigns, New York Fashion Week appearances alongside A$AP Rocky, and her first United States tour including Coachella, “What You Want” feels like a continuation of her global moment, this time sharper and more direct.

About Justice

Justice first emerged nearly 20 years ago with the groundbreaking single “Waters of Nazareth,” blending heavy metal aesthetics, French disco, and gothic seventies soundtracks into a unique style.

The duo, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, earned global acclaim with hits such as “D.A.N.C.E.,” two Grammy Awards, and a significant influence on many musicians.

Their fourth album “Hyperdrama” is their most ambitious project to date, combining French Touch, space jazz, and hardcore techno, featuring collaborations with Kevin Parker from Tame Impala and Miguel.

“What You Want” is a bold declaration.

The song captures a rising pop star, an artist aligned with her own desires, and a voice that resonates perfectly with the times.

Angèle is not arriving. She is already here.
