Bingkai Karya – London-based alternative artist beabadoobee has released her highly anticipated new album, ‘Pylon’, via Dirty Hit / Interscope Records. Available across streaming and digital, CD, and vinyl formats, the album follows her UK No. 1 album ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’ and presents a broader, more complex side of her songwriting.
Rather than settling into a single emotional direction, ‘Pylon’ moves through anger, loneliness, joy, pressure, and intense infatuation. The album reflects beabadoobee’s willingness to embrace uncertainty, creating a body of work that captures the contradictions of growing up, changing relationships, and trying to understand what happens internally while life continues to move forward.
The album opens with “Write Me A Letter,” an indie-rock track featuring production from longtime collaborators Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975. The song explores the process of recognizing personal mistakes and confronting feelings that can be difficult or embarrassing to express openly.
Beabadoobee wrote much of the material while on tour or between tours, using songwriting as a way to process her thoughts and experiences. She describes the album as being about letting go and accepting change, while questioning what it means to feel comfortable, grow older, and miss the familiarity of the past.
Songs including “Memories,” “Switchblade,” and “Sun Has Set” carry an intentionally raw quality. Beabadoobee explains that writing alone in hotel rooms reminded her of creating music as a teenager, alone in her bedroom. This intimacy gives ‘Pylon’ a sense of emotional immediacy, connecting her present-day experiences with the vulnerability that shaped her earliest songwriting.
The album also features an extensive lineup of collaborators, including Hayley Williams, Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates, Evan Stephens Hall of Pinegrove, Chino Moreno of Deftones, and Shane Moran of Title Fight. Their contributions expand the album’s musical world while keeping beabadoobee’s personal perspective at its center.
Following the album’s release, beabadoobee is celebrating with intimate launch shows in London before beginning The Powerlines Tour in North America on October 1. Her first arena tour includes stops at Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, The O2, and other major venues across North America, the UK, and Europe.
