Bingkai Karya — Rising pop star Freya Skye has released her highly anticipated new single “bad taste”, marking another milestone in an already significant year for the singer, songwriter, actress, and social media sensation. The release arrives just days before she continues her sold-out Stars Align Tour in Santa Barbara, California, on September 19.
“bad taste” first emerged during Freya’s first-ever headlining show in New York City, where she performed the song acoustically. The track quickly became a fan favorite across the early legs of the Stars Align Tour, receiving enthusiastic reactions from audiences around the world. Following its response on the road, Freya returned to the studio to record the song’s official studio version, bringing the live favorite to a wider audience.
The momentum surrounding “bad taste” continues beyond its release. The song’s official music video is set to debut on September 17, followed by the release of a 7-inch “bad taste” vinyl on September 18. Together, the releases extend the song’s journey from an intimate live performance into a broader project for Freya’s growing global audience.
The new single also arrives alongside a major announcement for Freya’s international touring plans. On September 16, she announced her upcoming headline tour across Latin America and Asia, marking her biggest international touring expansion to date. The tour will take Freya to Mexico City, Bogotá, Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Bangkok, Singapore, Manila, Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei between January and February 2027.
The expansion reflects the growing scale of Freya’s live career. According to the release, her shows have grown from venues accommodating around 200 fans to more than 4,000 fans within the same year. She also recently headlined her first-ever concerts in Australia, adding another international milestone to her rapidly expanding career.
Beyond touring, Freya has continued developing her creative work in the studio. She recently partnered with Hollister on an exclusive merchandise collection that sold out shortly after launch. Between tour dates, she has also been writing and recording her highly anticipated debut album, which continues to highlight her creativity and versatility.
