Bingkai Karya – Fontaines D.C. have released “Where Is Gone?”, a collaboration with Spanish artist ROSALÍA, on Monday, 12 October 2026. The track is the third song to be revealed from the Irish band’s forthcoming fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, which is scheduled for release on Friday, 16 October 2026, via XL Recordings. Featuring the intertwined vocals of Grian Chatten and ROSALÍA against lush orchestration, the song reveals a more sweeping and elegant side of the band’s evolving sound.

Produced by James Ford, “Where Is Gone?” marks the first artist collaboration to appear on a Fontaines D.C. album. The partnership also carries personal significance for guitarist Carlos O’Connell, who has recently been reconnecting with his Spanish heritage. For O’Connell, the collaboration brings together two musical traditions that share a meaningful connection.

“I’ve been a fan of ROSALÍA since her debut album, which was absolutely beautiful,” O’Connell says. He explains that he was particularly drawn to how she keeps Spanish musical tradition alive, something he relates to the band’s own efforts to preserve and reinterpret Irish music. With roots in both countries, he describes witnessing her artistic development as a beautiful experience.

The release follows “Marianne” and “Tongue,” the first two tracks shared from Dopamine Chamber. The new album follows 2024’s UK platinum-certified Romance and signals a decisive shift away from the guitar-driven sound of the band’s earlier records towards more seductive musical territory.

Across its eleven tracks, Dopamine Chamber explores pleasure, danger and the ways people respond to an increasingly uncertain world. Frontman Grian Chatten describes the album itself as a space in which listeners encounter different musical experiences designed to alter their minds or moods. The record was made with producer James Ford across London, the English countryside and Palermo, where Chatten recorded vocals in a makeshift booth constructed from mattresses and cushions.

Since their debut album Dogrel in 2019, Fontaines D.C. have continued to reshape their musical identity through releases including A Hero’s Death (2020), Skinty Fia (2022) and Romance (2024). Dopamine Chamber represents their latest departure from familiar territory, with “Where Is Gone?” offering a particularly distinctive example of that evolution.

With its combination of orchestral textures, contrasting vocal performances and the meeting of Irish and Spanish musical heritage, “Where Is Gone?” sets the stage for the band’s next chapter. Listeners can stream the single through official music platforms and explore Dopamine Chamber, arriving on 16 October 2026 via XL Recordings.
