Bingkai Karya — Singaporean singer-songwriters and longtime best friends Regina Song and rhyu have released their new double single, “Think twice,” featuring two tracks, “I kinda wanna ask you out” and “Do I love you?” Released on 30 October 2026, the two-track collection explores two significant turning points in romantic relationships: the hesitation before expressing feelings and the uncertainty that comes when those feelings begin to change.
Having been best friends for nine years, Regina and rhyu bring their shared history and distinct artistic perspectives into a project that reflects both their playful personalities and contemplative sides. Rather than presenting love as a straightforward experience, “Think twice” captures the excitement, vulnerability, and self-reflection that often accompany romantic uncertainty.
The double single unfolds through two different emotional perspectives. “I kinda wanna ask you out” captures the tentative excitement of developing a crush and considering whether to take the first step towards something more. Its title reflects the familiar hesitation of wanting to express affection while wondering how the other person might respond.
In contrast, “Do I love you?” turns the conversation inward, exploring the uncertainty that emerges when previously familiar feelings become harder to understand. Together, the tracks trace the emotional distance between wanting to pursue someone and questioning whether the feelings are still there.
Musically, “Think twice” carries a dreamy and groovy sensibility, reflecting the dynamic between two artists who share a close friendship while maintaining their individual approaches to songwriting. The collection brings together lighthearted moments and deeper reflections, creating an intimate portrayal of the complexities of modern romance.
The release also highlights the distinctive musical identities of both artists. Regina Song is known for her diaristic storytelling and infectious melodies, with her viral hit “the cutest pair” surpassing 53 million streams on Spotify and reaching the top of the platform’s Viral 50 – Global playlist. In 2025, she also completed a sold-out promotional tour across Southeast Asia and performed at Wanderland Festival in the Philippines and LaLaLa Festival in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, rhyu explores the nuances of everyday emotions through her songwriting. Her five-track debut EP, It’s Pouring, released in April 2025, introduced her reflective approach to themes of romance, comparison, and friendship. On this collaborative release, her introspective songwriting meets Regina’s candid perspective on modern girlhood.
Beyond their musical collaboration, “Think twice” reflects the understanding built through years of friendship, allowing both artists to approach romantic uncertainty from different yet complementary perspectives.
