As we enter the month of March, movie lovers are in for a treat as the industry prepares to release a slew of the highly anticipated films. March gives us the first taste of blockbuster movie season that we’ll get later in June, as we receive a new, well-known sequel each week. - 65 (2023) – March 10
The first anticipated movie is 65. 65 was first announced in 2020, with Adam Driver in the lead role. Since the first time it was announced, fans had been dying to see when they could watch it. Three years later, after several release dates changed, it was finally decided that the movie will be released in theaters on March 10. 65 follows a pilot named Mills (starring Adam Driver) who crash-landed on earth 65 million years ago and has to find a way back while fighting prehistoric creatures.
- Scream VI (2023) – March 10
The second anticipated movie is Scream V. A year after Scream V, the next installment in the horror franchise will be hitting the big screens on March 10. Scream VI has all the markings of a true horror movie: fear of death, chase scenes, masked villains, the dark, and great suspense. In Scream VI, the 4 survivors of the previous Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro and go to New York for a fresh start. However, their past keeps haunting them as new Ghostface killings again plague them.
- Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023) – March 17
The third anticipated movie is Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Before James Gunn’s appointment as the head of DC Studios, the DCU has been known for producing movies with dark tones such as Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, the new Shazam! Fury of the Gods looks like it will be a light in the dark DCU with the return of a funny and lovable superhero. Shazam! The fury of the gods will be released on March 17. In Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, we follow Billy along with his foster family who must once again transform into the superhero save the world from the Daughters of Atlas.
- John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) – March 24
The last anticipated movie is John Wick. Since the first movie aired, John Wick has gained a large fan following, making it an instant cult classic. It probably isn’t too far-fetched to say that this is probably the most awaited movie in March. In John Wick: Chapter 4, the revered and seemingly invincible assassin is back and facing the biggest, baddest villain (the High Table itself), with more guns, stunts, and action that the franchise is known for. John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released on March 24.
