Bingkai Karya – Meiska brings a fresh interpretation to the beloved Indonesian pop song, originally popularized by Mytha Lestari, with a new arrangement that retains the essence of the original while introducing her distinctive vocal character. Released on 29 September 2026 through Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, Meiska’s version of “Aku Cuma Punya Hati” arrives after her live performances of the song received warm responses and sparked requests for an official release.
The idea for the remake began with Meiska’s habit of performing “Aku Cuma Punya Hati” during off-air appearances. Clips from her performances gained attention on social media, leading listeners to ask for her version to be officially released. Responding to that enthusiasm, Meiska and the team at Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia discussed the possibility of turning the performance into a full release. The project received direct support from Badai, the song’s songwriter, as well as Mytha Lestari.
Taking on a song that is strongly associated with its original performer presented a challenge for Meiska. Rather than moving too far away from the original, she chose to preserve its core character while adding elements that reflect her own musical identity.
“I wanted to step away from the shadow of the original singer while still preserving the essence of the song without changing its basic structure too much,” Meiska explained. The new version features an adjusted key and a new intro arrangement that incorporates a section of the chorus. Meiska also introduces a new bridge during the guitar solo, developed spontaneously during the recording process with Keke Kananta and vocal director Barsena Besthandi.
Through this interpretation, Meiska hopes to give the song a renewed life and introduce it to a new generation of listeners. She also hopes the song can accompany listeners who find themselves relating to its story and emotions.
“Hopefully, this song can be a companion for those who are going through something similar and can relate to the story,” Meiska said, while expressing her gratitude to Badai and Mytha Lestari for their support.
Now available across digital music platforms in Indonesia, Meiska’s version of “Aku Cuma Punya Hati” invites listeners to experience a familiar song through a new vocal character and arrangement, while keeping the emotional essence that has made the song resonate with audiences.
