Bingkai Karya – ONE OR EIGHT released their new single “Yellow Brick Road” on 7 October 2026, marking the group’s first Japanese-language song and their latest musical milestone as they continue to build their presence in Japan and internationally. The track serves as the ending theme for the second season of Black Clover, drawing inspiration from protagonist Asta’s determination to move forward despite being born without magic.

At its heart, “Yellow Brick Road” explores the courage to choose one’s own direction, even when the path ahead feels uncertain. Asta’s journey reflects the experience of facing limitations while refusing to give up, turning personal struggles into a message of hope for listeners navigating challenges of their own.

Rather than presenting perseverance as a triumphant finish, the single focuses on the quieter determination required to keep going. Detours, loneliness, and uncertainty become part of the journey, while the presence of supportive companions offers the strength to take another step forward.

Musically, “Yellow Brick Road” is a mid-tempo ballad with a grand, open sound that allows its hopeful atmosphere to unfold gradually. Its arrangement builds a sense of emotional progression, echoing the feeling of moving through hardship toward a destination worth reaching. The accompanying artwork reinforces this concept through a fantastical landscape illuminated by sunset colours, capturing the beauty of a journey shaped by persistence and possibility.

The song’s message also reflects ONE OR EIGHT’s own approach to their career. Rather than following a predetermined route, the group has continued to carve out its identity through its own choices. In this context, “Yellow Brick Road” becomes more than an anime ending theme; it represents the group’s determination to move forward despite anxiety, loneliness, and uncertainty.

The song’s reference to “君” (you) carries a meaning that extends beyond Asta’s companions. It also acknowledges 1DERZ, the fans who have supported ONE OR EIGHT throughout their journey. This connection adds a personal dimension to the track, highlighting how encouragement and companionship can help people find strength they may not have recognised within themselves.

The release follows the group’s first-ever EP, “EN-GÏNE,” released on 16 September 2026, and arrives ahead of ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOWCASE 2026 in ASIA -V8-. The showcase is scheduled to visit Singapore on 21 October, Manila on 23 October, and Bangkok on 25 October. The group has also continued appearing on Korean music programmes as part of its international activities.

With “Yellow Brick Road,” ONE OR EIGHT invite listeners to embrace their own journeys, recognise the people who stand beside them, and find the courage to keep moving forward. The single is available through the official listening link provided with the release.
