Bingkai Karya – Entering 2026, a new musical direction takes shape through “Terpikat Pada Cinta,” the latest single from Indonesian singer Judika. Produced in collaboration with Semesta Records and PT Dua Anak Deo, the track is helmed by producers Rian Ekky Pradipta and Dawairama, marking a distinct departure from Judika’s previous releases.
Written by Melinda E., “Terpikat Pada Cinta” explores a deeper understanding of love, revealing it as an emotion far more expansive than it first appears. Melinda shares that the song began as a personal reflection written out of curiosity and fascination with the idea of love, before catching the attention of Rian Ekky Pradipta. For Melinda, this project marks a milestone, as it is the first time her songwriting has been performed by a nationally renowned artist. “I’ve always admired Judika’s voice. It feels incredible to finally hear my song brought to life by him,” she says.
Musically, “Terpikat Pada Cinta” introduces a folk inspired sound, offering a fresh color within Judika’s discography. According to Rian, the genre choice was intentional from the start.
“The folk character brings out a new side of Judika. We hope this sound becomes a meaningful addition to his musical journey,” Rian explains.
The production process unfolded smoothly, beginning with a demo that immediately resonated with Judika. Prior to recording, the team conducted workshops to determine the most suitable key and chord progression to complement Judika’s vocal character, before finalizing the arrangement and moving into vocal recording. Rian admits he was pleasantly surprised by the final result.
“Judika truly gave life to this song. Even with a folk nuance, his energy remains powerful especially in the soaring notes toward the end, which make the song feel truly special.”
For Judika, the challenge of the song lay not in its technicality, but in its emotional range.
“There are two emotional states I have to convey in one song: being deeply in love, and being heartbroken because of love,” he explains. Judika also shares that he fully entrusted the creative process to Rian, allowing the producer’s musical identity to shine through.
“It feels special almost like moving into a new house. There’s Rian’s musical soul, sung through my voice,” Judika adds.
Both Melinda E. and Judika hope that “Terpikat Pada Cinta” resonates deeply with listeners, whether they are experiencing the sweetest moments of love or enduring its most painful chapters.
