Bingkai Karya – Opening the year with raw honesty, singer songwriter Idgitaf releases her latest single “Rutinitas.” The track arrives as her second release following “Sedia Aku Sebelum Hujan,” a song that gained warm reception from Indonesian listeners after its release in October 2025.
With “Rutinitas,” Idgitaf presents a different kind of new beginning. Rather than celebrating fresh starts with optimism, the song embraces the uncertainty that often comes with them, the quiet fear that not every new year begins with happiness.
“I wrote this song during a phase of overthinking, especially when I was surrounded by so many kind people in my life, particularly my partner,” Idgitaf shares. “It made me wonder whether I could stay with them for a long time. There are so many meaningful places and memories. If one day we were to separate, would I still be able to return to those places and feel the same? Or would I avoid them? That fear and confusion made me question whether I would have to live with a new routine.”
Known for heartfelt songs such as “Takut,” “Semoga Sembuh,” and “Satu-Satu,” Idgitaf has built a strong connection with listeners through lyrics that are simple yet deeply emotional. Her debut full length album Mengudara was released in 2023, and in 2025 she was nominated at the Indonesian Film Festival for Best Original Song through “Berakhir di Aku” (OST Home Sweet Loan).
“Rutinitas” opens with a striking first line: “Jika kita berpisah, rutinitasku apa?” (“If we were to part, what would my routine be?”). The song is introduced by a pedal steel guitar played by guest musician Amrus Ramadhan, bringing in a subtle country influence that sets a melancholic tone. As the song progresses, it blooms into a hopeful chorus:
“Nanti terbiasa / Deras hujan pun reda… Rutinitas baru” offering the idea that even after heartbreak, new routines and new love can eventually take shape.
While “Sedia Aku Sebelum Hujan” spoke of commitment and emotional strength, “Rutinitas” leans into doubt and vulnerability. Musically, both tracks share a pop foundation with hints of country, but lyrically, “Rutinitas” feels more introspective and fragile, inviting listeners to sit with their fears rather than avoid them.
The song is also delivered from two emotional perspectives at once, someone who is still in a relationship and someone who has already lost it. “At the same time, I’m voicing both sides: the one who hasn’t broken up yet and the one who already has,” Idgitaf explains. “I believe that worrying about the future is very human, and no matter what happens, we remain whole as ourselves.”
For Idgitaf, releasing “Rutinitas” at the beginning of the year is a reminder that it’s okay not to feel perfectly hopeful. The song encourages listeners to stay open to love and possibility, even when the future feels uncertain.
“There’s research that says new routines in a new year only last about the first 14 days,” she says. “Eventually, we return to who we really are, and that’s what I found interesting to explore. I really hope listeners can connect with the meaning of ‘Rutinitas’ and find a place for it in their hearts.”
Both “Sedia Aku Sebelum Hujan” and “Rutinitas” are part of Idgitaf’s upcoming second album, scheduled for release in 2026. She reveals that the new album will explore love and self reflection in deeper and more personal ways.
Released under Idgitaf Musik in collaboration with KithLabo, “Rutinitas” is available on all digital streaming platforms starting January 5, 2026. The official music video will follow on January 11, 2026 via Idgitaf’s YouTube channel.
