Bingkai Karya – Thai rap phenomenon MILLI has officially dropped her highly anticipated full-length album, HEAVYWEIGHT, signaling her bold evolution as a force to be reckoned with in the global music scene. Packed with 13 dynamic tracks, the album explores the emotional, cultural, and artistic weight she carries as an artist all delivered through razor-sharp lyrics, raw emotion, and her signature hard-hitting rap flow.
While most of the lyrics are in English, HEAVYWEIGHT seamlessly incorporates playful Thai expressions and MILLI’s unmistakable personality in every track. The result is a collection that feels both deeply personal and globally resonant.
The album features an exciting roster of international collaborators, including Knock2, BewhY, Awich, and ATARASHII GAKKO!, along with celebrated Thai artists like HUGO and Gong from the band H3F. Much of the project came together during a songwriting camp in Los Angeles, where MILLI worked with producers and songwriters from around the world, returning with nearly half the album ready to go.
In her own words, MILLI describes HEAVYWEIGHT as “the one that I truly love.” She adds: “It represents the weight in every fiber of my being, in every story that has come into my life. I compare myself to a boxer who started in the atomweight division, fighting through every hardship. Now, I’m stepping into the heavyweight class not just in skill, but in spirit.”
To accompany the release, MILLI also dropped the music video for “SICK WITH IT”, the album’s explosive opener. Shot in Japan, the video features iconic Japanese dance crew Avantgardey, known for their bob haircuts, uniformed looks, and eccentric, mesmerizing choreography.
A trailblazing rapper, singer, and songwriter, MILLI made history as the first Thai artist to perform on Coachella’s main stage in 2022. Under YUPP! Entertainment, she has continuously broken boundaries both stylistically and culturally redefining what it means to be a modern Asian artist.
Her previous collaborations, including “Just Being Friendly” with Tilly Birds and “Mirror Mirror” with F.HERO and Changbin of Stray Kids, each surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. She has also joined forces with 88rising on the official remix of BIBI’s “The Weekend” (80+ million views), and collaborated with Jackson Wang on “Mind Games,” which drew massive global attention.
MILLI’s influence extends far beyond the studio. She was featured in Spotify’s EQUAL campaign, spotlighting women in audio, and her image lit up a massive billboard in New York’s Times Square. In 2022, she was named one of BBC’s 100 Most Influential Women, solidifying her position as a global icon.
Her accolades include:
Best New Asian Artist Thailand (2020 MAMA / Mnet Asian Music Awards)
Top Ten Hottest Songs of 2020 (JOOX Music Thailand)
Hip-Hop Song of the Year & New Face of the Year (Rap is Now Awards 2020)
Rising Star (Kazz Awards 2020)
Best Album of the Year & Best Solo Artist of the Year (TOTY Music Awards 2022 for debut album BABB BUM BUM)
With HEAVYWEIGHT, MILLI not only steps into a new chapter, she commands it.
