A Fresh Spin on a Heartfelt Track: Sisca Saras Unveils Retro Version of “Tak Berakhir Sama”

Bingkai Karya – Indonesian pop soloist Sisca Saras is back with a fresh take on her emotional ballad “Tak Berakhir Sama”, this time reimagined in a retro-inspired version. After launching her solo career post-JKT48 in 2023 and joining WeCord Evermore Indonesia, Sisca has consistently delivered strong singles. Her third single, “Tak Berakhir Sama”, originally released in February 2025 as a tender ballad, now returns with a nostalgic and lively twist.

“The idea came when I was casually recording a short retro version with Gery Gani. It turned out so good that we decided to produce the full-length version,” Sisca shared. “Since the original was a ballad, there were changes in the arrangement and chord structure to achieve that retro feel we were aiming for.”

Fransisca Saraswati Puspa Dewi known to fans as Sisca Saras expressed her excitement in revisiting the song through a new lens. “It’s one of my own creations, and the original already worked really well. But translating it into a retro vibe brought its own challenges. I had to shift from the sad, heavy singing style to something more light, playful, and groovy.”

Though relatively new to the WeCord Evermore label, Sisca has quickly made her mark. On June 17, 2025, she was named Most Popular Newcomer at the SCTV Music Awards an achievement she describes as both surprising and deeply meaningful. “I didn’t expect it at all. It’s my first-ever music award, and it really means a lot. It’s a reminder that I’m serious about this path, and I want people to know me through my music.”

July’s Retro Version of “Tak Berakhir Sama” isn’t the only surprise Sisca has in store. In August, she will release a brand-new duet single titled “Orang Biasa”, featuring the smooth vocals of Aziz Hedra. Written by renowned trio Laleilmanino, the upcoming single marks her first collaboration with them a major item on her personal wishlist.

“I’ve always loved Aziz’s voice, and I’m thrilled to finally work with Laleilmanino,” Sisca said. “Thanks to Kak Iman Abdullah from WeCord Evermore who made this collaboration happen.” She also shared what she learned from the process: “Laleilmanino taught me the importance of commitment and staying focused while creating music. And from Aziz, I learned how to really connect vocally in a duet. Even though he’s a bit shy, he was such a fun and easygoing partner to work with.”

Returning to the Retro Version of “Tak Berakhir Sama”, Sisca hopes this reimagining will resonate with new listeners who might not typically enjoy ballads. “Maybe this version will reach people who prefer more upbeat songs. I hope they’ll give the retro version a chance and maybe fall in love with the original too.”

“Tak Berakhir Sama” (Retro Version) is available on all digital music platforms starting July 18, 2025.
