Bingkai Karya – Closing out 2025 on a powerful and emotional note, modern metal band From Ashes To New has officially released their latest single, “Drag Me,” in early December via Better Noise Music. The track arrives as a dark, intense, and confrontational statement, diving deep into inner conflict and the struggle against one’s own demons.
“Drag Me” portrays the feeling of being trapped in an internal war, where good intentions are constantly overpowered by negative thoughts and unresolved wounds. Vocalist Matt Brandyberry explains that the song was born from the realization that the greatest enemy often comes from within. According to him, the most real and exhausting battles are not fought against the outside world, but against the reflection staring back in the mirror.
Musically, “Drag Me” delivers the signature sound that has come to define From Ashes To New, aggressively blending alt metal with electronic elements and emotionally charged vocal dynamics. The single follows their previous release, “New Disease,” which arrived in July 2025, and marks their latest material since the additional tracks from the album ‘BLACKOUT (Deluxe).’
