Bingkai Karya-Meiska Adinda, whose songs have been streamed by millions of people on digital music platforms, now is set to release her debut album, “Hanya Figuran.”
There will be a total of 10 tracks on this album. Five of them are new songs, while the rest are five singles which released in 2022. These songs were chosen with Meiska’s voice in mind, taking into account her heart, the outpouring of love from those closest to her, and the expectations of those who appreciate this Information Systems student’s work.
Among the 10 songs on her debut album, one of them is titled “Buang Waktu” which Meiska wrote based on her personal experience. She also writes this song on her own. “The story is about me being close to someone, but he’s not ready for a new relationship. In fact, he still asks his ex to come back.”
From that experience, through “Buang Waktu”, I would like to advise you to apply the “three months rule” when you are dating someone, because usually the true character is only seen after three months. So, just enjoy the process. There’s no need to rush so that you don’t regret it in the end because you’ve wasted your energy and time.”
A Self-Love Reminder
The title “Hanya Figuran,” Meiska says, is a reminder to all listeners that every individual is important. “Every song in this album has a message to care about ourselves because everyone is valuable and is the main character in his or her life. Don’t waste time just being an extra in someone’s life. However, keep in mind that the process of loving yourself is not an easy process because it requires patience. But, over time, we will begin to understand that if we don’t love ourselves, who will?”
Meiska hopes “Hanya Figuran” will be the starting point to further widen her path in the music industry. “This also marks my initial journey in the Indonesian music industry. As time goes by, this album will become a memory that I will always remember.”
