Bingkai Karya – Filipino American singer-songwriter Rocco has released “Door”, a captivating and introspective new single from his upcoming album, Skin & Bone. A spontaneous creation born from a burst of inspiration, “Door” was crafted with Rocco’s brother and collaborator, who serves as a key producer on the album.
Despite the album already being completely finished, the duo decided to include “Door” last minute —and it now stands as one of the project’s most compelling highlights.
Blending Rocco’s signature soulful lyricism with indie-pop, low-fi feels, “Door” is yet another bedroom pop gem, taken from his upcoming album, and following on from the previous single, “Only Boy”.
About “Skin & Bone
Skin & Bone, Rocco’s most personal work to date, weaves together pop, indie, and R&B influences, anchored by his evocative vocals and relatable lyricism. The album’s title nods to themes of growth and self longing, exuding vulnerability which is extremely relatable.
“Skin & Bone” is representative of the fact that I am just skin & bone…I don’t see myself as anything more and I’m just a guy who likes to make music, who enjoys music and wants to bring a nice refreshing sound to this scene. I just wanted to create a piece of art that resonates not just for other people but mostly for myself which is something I feel I haven’t done too much before.
