Bingkai Karya – Kicking off their 19th anniversary celebration, RAN unveils the music video for “Memori,” a reflective visual tribute that captures the heart of their nearly two decade journey. This milestone marks a significant chapter for the Indonesian pop trio, who have consistently shaped the nation’s music scene with songs that have become the soundtrack of countless personal stories. As they commemorate their remarkable 19 year run, RAN continues to evolve while honoring the memories they’ve created alongside their loyal listeners.
19 Years of RAN: More Than Just Music
Reaching almost two decades as a group is a rare and profound achievement. Rayi, Asta, and Nino attribute RAN’s longevity to their deep brotherhood and unwavering communication elements that have guided them since the beginning.
“These nineteen years are a giant memory for the three of us,” Rayi reflects. “It’s not just about the songs, but about how we faced every challenge and celebrated every victory together. We’re grateful to grow not only as musicians, but also as friends.”
Asta adds, “Sometimes we can’t believe it’s been this long. But every release is proof of our commitment. This bond has become part of who we are, and we hope to keep creating new memories for RAN and everyone who listens.”
“Memori”: The Closing Chapter of the Teater Nestapa Album
Released today as part of their anniversary moment, the “Memori” music video serves as the final visual chapter of RAN’s latest album, ‘Teater Nestapa’, which first arrived on October 23, 2024. It follows earlier visuals for “Hey Tunggu Dulu,” “Kapan?,” and “Masih Takut Mencinta.”
Nino explains why the timing of “Memori” feels especially meaningful. “Among all the songs on Teater Nestapa, ‘Memori’ carries the most personal message especially with our 19th anniversary. It’s our way of reflecting on the journey as a collection of memories. We intentionally placed this video as the finale, as a form of gratitude for every moment shared with our listeners.”
A Cinematic Reflection by Bonita Rachel
Directed by rising filmmaker Bonita Rachel, the “Memori” music video offers more than a straightforward lyrical interpretation. It delivers a cinematic narrative built on real, intimate gestures and the emotional depth of what memories truly represent.
The video portrays themes of loss, reunion, and togetherness reminding viewers that memories are not only glimpses of the past but guiding threads into the future. Simple yet powerful moments comforting handholds, warm embraces, meaningful stares reflect the complete arc of memory:
a farewell that teaches acceptance, a reunion that sparks hope, and the presence of loved ones that strengthens our bonds.
This storytelling direction serves as a universal reminder that memories continue to live within us through the people we cherish.
The “Memori” music video is now available on RAN’s official YouTube channel, RANforyourlife.
